It’s Carrie’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

Carrie was inspired by her recent trip to the U.S. Southwest and created her version of a sparkly, shiny, Arizona Night Sky. Tim Holtz’s Funky Cactus dies as well as an older Alpine die were the perfect dies to cut both regular and metallic cardstock for some added sparkle – all on reclaimed wood. A variety of Tim Holtz Distress Inks including the beautiful Chipped Sapphire along with a Speckle and Honeycomb Stencil and Stamp Set added additional interest and depth to this fun piece!

Andrea sketched a “Shine On” witch card using Distress Watercolor Pencils (Set 1 and Set 3). She used Dina Wakley’s Brushes to blend everything together and included some Ledger 2 Paper in the background.

Anna-Karin made a tag full of shimmer and sparkle. She used Tim Holtz Sizzix Moonlight die set to die cut the moon and the bats. The background was embossed with Tim Holtz Sizzix Cracked 3-D folder and misted with Distress Mica Stains.

Barbara can’t stop to create for Halloween! She created a card with a big sparkling moon cut with the new Sizzix die Moonlight! She painted it with Ranger Distress Mica Stains and added the fabulous branch from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Mr. Bones and the little bats from the new set The Obscure. She used Texture Paste Black Opaque together with Spellbound stencil (mini version set 56) and another touch of sparkle with Rock Candy Crystal Clear Glitter.

Cheiron used some of her stash of Simon Says Stamp Color Blend Cardstock that has a shiny (glossy) finish along with the Gradient Dot Embossing Folder. She added the Quintissential Scripty Sayings from Concord & 9th to her textured panel for a shiny and simple card.

Emma created plenty of sparkle and shine on her Etcetera Panel, using Tim Holtz Halloween Mica Spray Stains for her shimmery background, baubles inked with Amethyst Alcohol Ink, and idea-ology Tiny Lights that glow from behind the window, lighting up the trick or treaters from the Halloween Night Thinlits Die Set. She completed the project with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Moonlight die that shines in the background.

Kath created a Halloween Shaker Card with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Moonlight, Mischievous and Bold Text 2 Thinlits and used Distress Mica Stains from the Halloween 2023 release, Spellbound Mini Layering Stencil from Set 56 with Distress Texture Paste and Distress Rock Candy Glitter and a mix of gold, blue and clear sequins from her stash to add lots of sparkle and shine.

Lols  made a Halloween card using Ranger Star Dust Stickles and Tim Holtz Distress Mica Stains, in Ominous Twilight and Phantom Mist, for her Sparkle and Shine. She used new Moonlight, Graveyard and Halloween Night Thinlit Die Sets and a Cracked 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder. She finished with a Halloween Baseboard Sentiment Strip.

Macarena made an almost Autumn card using sparkly and shine Distress Mica Stains for the Tim Holtz Sizzix Artsy Leaves. She also used Tim Holtz Sizzix Tree Rings 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder, Frame Tags and Silhouette Birds.

Maura made a fun, sparkly tag with Art by Marlene’s Out Of This World Glitter Paper Elements, Studio Light’s Funny Tag, and Simon Says Stamp’s In The Round stencil.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia ORCHIDS AND CATS 12×12 Paper on the background, and decorated it with glitter butterflies using Simon Says Stamp Billow Butterfly Plate Wafer Die and Studio Light FAIRYTALE Glitter Paper Essentials.

Zoey used the Distress Mica Stain to add sparkle and shine to her Tea Bag alteration. She also used Tim Holtz Layering Stencil and IdeaOlogy Ephemera and Paper dolls portrait to decorate the tea bag.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
