It’s Kerry’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
Kerry used Tim Holtz Road Trip colorize and Alphanumeric Varsity dies, Stamperia Create Happiness Compass stencil and volume paste, and paper from the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Everywhere collection. She colored with distress ink minis.
Andrea loves relaxing with a good book on vacation, so she made a bookmark using Concord & 9th’s Swatchbook dies. She also used Dina Wakley’s Scribble Sticks 2 and some Flea Market patterned paper from Simple Stories.
Anna-Karin created a mixed media seaside scene in her Dylusions Art Journal. The page was painted with Dina Wakley Media Acrylic Paint. The base of the little boats were made with Tim Holtz Chatter Design Tape and an old dictionary page.
Barbara made a trio of tags inspired by the colors of summer! She used two stamp sets by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, Snarky Cat and Bird Crazy, and two Sizzix Thinlits Dies, Happy Hour and Under The Sea 1 Colorize. The colors she used are Ranger Distress Ink pads and Sprays Stain, the sentiments are from Idea-ology Snarky Small Talk Stickers.
Emma’s vintage style tag project is all about friendship and creating happy memories on vacation. She created dimension and layers on an Etcetera Tag using the Sizzix/Tim Holtz Swirls Embossing Folder, Backdrops Paper to make paper rolls and then arranged a Snapshots 2 Photograph over the top surrounded by Floral Adornments and die cut foliage.
Kath created a cover for a travel notebook inspired by an intrepid adventurer off on vacation. She used a Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Baseboard Doll, Stampers Anonymous Numeric Mini Layering Stencil from set 7, Sizzix Stacked Circles Thinlits, Baggage Claim BigZ die, Idea-ology Typeset Collage Paper and Theories Quote Chips.
Lols made a card using a Katzelcraft La Souris Photographe stamp. Everyone who goes on vacation takes a camera and this little mouse is currently in New Zealand taking photo’s of all of the lovely sheep! For the background she used Tim Holtz Lost Shadow Distress Ink, a Rings Cling Stamp, White Embossing Powder and Hickory Smoke Distress Crayon. She added Tim Holtz Label Sentiment Stickers and a Snarky Small Talk sentiment.
Macarena has sent Gladys from Tim Holtz Colorize Gladys on a trip with a small suitcase from Tim Holtz Baggage. She cut the Tim Holtz Destination map from a lovely Idea-ology Kraft Stock Sparkle Classic paper. For the stenciled background she used her favorite Distress Oxide Uncharted Mariner ink.
Maura says when you can’t get away on a real vacation, you can still dream about it. She made an art journal page using Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, Studio Light Art by Marlene So Fish-ticated die cuts, and loves using her Simon Says Stamp Fine Detail Scissors to cut things out like her palm tree.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps AIR TRAVEL on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology ODDS AND ENDS Embellishments and Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS.
Zoey used Tim Holtz Idea-ology engraving layers and Idea-Ology paper dolls to decorate her tag.
She also used a bunch of Tim Holtz Distress Spray Inks + Ink pads for her background. For her sentiment she used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Quote Chip Labels
