It’s Natasha’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
Natasha was inspired by the fun new Simon Says Stamp Jumbled Hearts Background stamp! She used White Embossing Powder on Watercolor Cardstock and then applied Lindy’s Time Travel Teal and Glitzy Gold Magicals. For added sparkle she used a Fancy Love Die along with Luxe Glitter Card Stock and added a pop of pink using a gelli print and the Dotted Heart die. She completed the card with a sub sentiment using a sentiment strip.
Andrea made a celebratory card to ring in the new year. She used Avery Elle’s Banner Celebrations stamp set along with Elizabeth Craft’s Alphabet Tabs dies. She used lots of colors from Prima’s Confetti Watercolor set and added darker touches with AALL & Create’s Power Words washi tape.
Anna-Karin went with a joyful Christmas theme this week and created a wall-hanging. The focal point is the cheerful Simon Says Stamp Santa Claus die. She also used Tim Holtz Holiday Fabric. The panel was embellished with idea-ology Candy Canes and other bits and pieces.
Barbara wants to wish everyone a joyful Christmas! She made this tag using in an original way some branches from Tim Holtz Sizzix Modern Festive Thinlits dies and two stencils by Stampers Anonymous: Element Stencil Christmas and Tree Lot. To color and add dimension she used Ranger Ink Distress Crayons, Ranger Ink Lumberjack Plaid Distress Spray Stain, Distress Texture Paste Opaque, Distress Snowfall Holiday Grit Paste and Distress Rock Candy Crystal Clear Glitter.
Cheiron hopes you find time to celebrate with people you love this season! She created this fun cheers card using the new Simon Says Stamp with Color Blend Cardstock to create her card base. She added a CZ Design Wine Glass die cut using Luxe Glitter Cardstock, a CZ Design Cheers sentiment and a few “bubbles” using Trinity Stamps Soapy Bubbles Embellishments.
Emma is getting the party started by creating some place setting cards to give to her guests at Christmas. She was inspired by the Snowman party scene in Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman and used the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Twig and Stump combined with the Specimen and Collector dies before adding tiny details including Woodland Trees and Christmas Remnant Rubs.
Kath is keeping her fingers crossed for a White Christmas and decided to go with a snowman/snowflake theme for her Boxing Day party invitations using Simon Says Snowflake Frame and Silver Luxe Glitter Cardstock and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Twig and Stump and Alphanumeric Bold Thinlits.
Lols made a party invitation card using a Simon Says Stamp Let’s Party Die Set, Black Card Stock and Vellum. For the background she used Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Cardstock along with Crimson, Aquamarine, Envy Alcohol Inks and Blending Solution. While the ink was still slightly wet she added a sheet of Gold Foil and gently rubbed over the entire sheet to apply random foiled areas. She stitched the edges with gold thread and added a few Autumn Mix Gold Sequins to finish.
Macarena wants to wish you all a better, full of love and peace on Earth, new 2023 year. She made a bright and colorful card using Tim Holtz Sizzix COUNTDOWN dies and LARGE STEMS Bigz die. She mixed Tim Holtz Ranger Oxide inks: Kitsch Flamingo, Uncharted Mariner and Peeled Paint.
Maura is celebrating the Winter Solstice with a star party. She created a spread in her art journal, using Stamperia’s Winter Tales paper, Simon Says Stamp’s Little Evergreen Trees from the December release, Dina Wakley paints in Eggplant and Lapis, and Tim Holtz’s Bold Tidings 1 stamp set. May the light shine in 2023!
Meihsia was inspired to create a holiday card using Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Backdrops on the background, and decorated it withTim Holtz Sizzix CHRISTMAS COOKIES Thinlits Dies and Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Sticker Book.
Zoey used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas Linen Tape Patchwork to create some texture in the background. She then used Tim Holtz Sizzix Holiday Brushstroke 3 to decorate around the Tim Holtz Sizzix Numbered 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
