Alison upcycled a deep home decor frame and filled it with dried flowers and seedheads from the garden, tucked in glass test tubes, with some rusty nails and a Tim Holtz Toadstool in between.  She wove a story around the gentlemen from the Idea-ology Snapshots and all their botanical observations, recorded in Ephemera Snippets Halloween Labels and Number Strips.  There are Tim Holtz papers too, including some from the latest Backdrops 3 CollectionSpeckled Egg Distress Paint, Crackle Paste, Grit Paste, and Distress Crayons provide just some of the rusted and weathered textures – but this is a project where you really need to see all the details in close-up over at Words and Pictures!

Andrea utilized dies to create frame layers on her tag. She used Maker’s Movement Nested Box Tags dies and Whimsy Stamps’ ATC Antique Frames dies. She also brought in some patterned paper from Maggie Holmes’ Market Square and Simple Stories’ Family Fun collections.

Anna-Karin framed a sentiment with a stamped and die cut label and layered a whole lot of labels underneath it. The labels were stamped with Simon Says Stamp Mixed Labels and die cut with the coordinating dies. The little book was made from a Tim Holtz Memoir Ephemera Pack piece.

Barbara used the new Mini Stencil Set 52 to create a frame for the fabulous Stamp from Botanic Collage both by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous. She choose Ranger Distress Texture Paste Crackle Translucent together with Embossing Glaze Salvaged patina and Twisted citron, Ranger Distress Crayons Ripe Persimmon and Distress Spray Stain Saltwater Taffy.

Cheiron created a frame using a Tim Holtz Lace Baseboard frame and a frame of leaves from the Stampers Anonymous Floral Elements set to surround the butterfly image from the Botanic Collage stamp set. She placed them on a background of Distress Oxides and added a sentiment from the Noteworthy set.

Kath used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Floral Frame 3D Impresslits and Idea-ology Found Relatives as the main feature on an Art Journal panel. She used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Elements and Eccentric stamp sets, Mosaic Mini Layering Stencil and Distress Crackle Texture Paste to create the background and decorated with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Brushstroke Flowers 4 Thinlits.

Macarena made a card for a maths teacher framing an old classroom board with Time for Tea Designs Wide Stitched Frame die and embossed some formulas from Tim Holtz Weird Science stamp set. She used Simon Says Stamp Etched Laurel Leaves and Tim Holtz Sizzix Funky Nature dies.

Maura went down the rabbit hole this week with her mini framed project. She used Prima’s Nature Lover Wood Frames and Stamperia’s Alice in Wonderland papers.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-ology BASEBOARDS WINDOW FRAME on this corrugated tag, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER DOLLS MINITim Holtz Idea-ology QUOTE SEALS and Tim Holtz Idea-ology WORD PLAQUES.

Sandra used the Brickwork 3D Embossing Folder for the background and played with Distress Crayons Rusty HingeGround Espresso and Peeled Paint to give it even more realistic look. For the frame she used one of the Window Frames.

Zoey used the newly released Tim Holtz Stamps and Stencil Noteworthy for the sentiment and in the background Eccentric and Freight. Also for the background she used Distress Oxide Ink and Distress Oxide Spray

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
