Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Stencil Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to
ADD SOME GREEN
As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from AALL & Create. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!
Please remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
This week we are welcoming the lovely Deborah Emmons aka designingdiva_73 into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!
Deborah made a piece called “Serenity Shrine”. She used Tim Holtz idea-ology Vignette Shrine and Vignette Box Structures for the base. The vines and flowers were created with Tim Holtz Tiny Tattered Florals and Garden Greens, while the trellis was die cut with Tim’s Festive Repeat.
Andrea included a bit of green on each tag she created using AALL & Create’s The Gentlemen stamp set. She also used AALL & Create’s On Cloud Nine and City Living stamp sets to create subtle images in the background. The tags are made from paper that Andrea tweaked from Dina Wakley’s Collage Collective 2, Vol. 1.
Anna-Karin made flower tag this week, with many shades of green. She used the AALL & Create Worded Petals set by Tracy Evans. The background was inked with Distress Inks combined with the Simon Says Stamp Mix and Match Circles stencil.
Cheiron created a card with a green background using Distress Spray Stains and stenciled over it with AALL & Create Lotza Crossez stencil and white pigment ink. She layered her card with lots of brand new Tim Holtz Idea-ology including a Paper Dolls Portrait, Backdrops 3 papers and Snippets. She finished her card with an Idea-ology Thoughts Label Sticker.
Emma created a piece dedicated to the people of Ukraine and used AALL & Create Twine Washi Tape to create a background. The focal point of this Mini Etcetera Tag features the gorgeous bird die cut using the Sizzix Bird and Egg Thinlits Die from Tim Holtz surrounded by Festive Bouquet foliage and Bouquet Findings flowers coloured with Prize Ribbon and Mustard Seed Distress Spray Stains.
Kath created a card using colours of green from the Distress Palette on the background, AALL&Create Heapz Hexagonz Stencil with Distress Texture Paste Matte, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Faded Type with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink and Distress Embossing Glaze. She added flowers die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Seasonal Sketch Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Spray and Spray Stain and added Idea-ology Quotations Metallic Stickers.
Macarena made a textured card showing her support to Ukraine. She used the Simon Says Stamp Kraft Woodgrain Cardstock for the background and the Tim Holtz Sizzix Heartfelt Bigz die colored with Ukrainian flag colors using Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon, Broken China, Wild honey.
Maura added lots of green to her art journal page. She used AALL and Create’s Foliage stamp, the Lotza Dots stencil and their Weathered Tiles stencil.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using AALL & Create Basic Veggies Clear Stamps
and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Quote Findings and Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Tiny Clips.
Sandra made a full on green card using lots of Nuvo Shimmer powder Green Parade, and did some random stamping with the Dapper and Purveyor stamp sets, she also added some interest with the AALL & Create Washi Tapes
Zoey used the new Distress Archival Ink to create the background of this tag, she then embossed it with Tim Holtz Sizzix QUILTED 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder 665734. She collaged the background with pieces of Tim Holtz Idea-ology SNIPPETS Ephemera and Tim Holtz Idea-ology KEEPSAKES Ephemera. She used Tim Holtz Sizzix LOVESTRUCK Colorize Thinlits Dies and AALL & Create DIAMOND LIFE Stencil for the focal point and Tim Holtz Idea-ology PHOTOBOOTH to finish it.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
