Glimmer and Sparkle

It’s Anne’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

Anne has used Tim Holtz’s latest Halloween dies – The Count, Candlelight and Vault Series Halloween, along with the new Texture Set and Mica Sprays to create a spooky vignette of the Count in his castle…..

it lights up too!

Andrea used one of her favorite sparkle quote stamps (She Was Tired from Impression Obsession), along with Altenew’s Mid-Century Modern Frame Die and Simple Stories’ Family Fun patterned paper for her project.

Anna-Karin made an alphabet-themed notebook for her youngest, to practice writing letters and words. The background was die cut with Simon Says Stamp Archie Jr Solid set and the glitter effect comes from Ranger’s Moon Dust Stickles.

Barbara created a panel themed Halloween. She added sparkle using the new Distress Mica stain set 2, Tim Holtz Ranger Alcohol Ink Cardstock Matte Black, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Moon Mask Stencils, Distress Sparkle Set, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Bold Frights stamp set. She created a shiny/matt effect with Distress Frosted Crystal and Clear Embossing powder together with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Shifter Multi Harlequin.

Cheiron created a fun Halloween card with plenty of Glimmer and Sparkle using the Ranger Distress Mica Stains on Distress White Heavystock to create her background. She used the Stampers Anonymous Wicked Hipster stamps as her focal image and used a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Reverse Halloween Sentiment Strips.

Emma was inspired by the glimmer and sparkle of Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder and she added it to the Tim Holtz idea-ology Photo Booth image and Engraving Layers, coloured with Prize Ribbon Distress Crayon, to create a subtle but wonderful shimmer. To complete the tag, she added an Antiqued Gem and Metallic Droplets for added sparkle.

Kath used Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink with Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Mini Weathered Winter, Winterscape and Sketch Greenery, Distress Spray Stains, Distress Mica Stains and Distress Mica Flakes to add Vintage Glimmer and Sparkle to her snowy scene.

Lols made a card using Tim Holtz Fanciful Snowflake Dies along with a liberal sprinkling of Prisma Glitter. For the background she spritzed with Faded Jeans Oxide Spray before stenciling a Star Spangled design with Hot Foil Gel and using a Royal Sovereign Laminator Machine and Gina K Sparkling Silver Fancy Foil to add the glimmer.

Macarena  made a very soft card with a small shaker box in the corner full of Simon Says Stamp Unicorn Confetti and Distress Glitter Dust Platinum. She played with variety of Tim Holtz Sizzix dies as Mixed Media, Perspective Butterfly, Wildflowers.

Maura made a fall card using Tim Holtz and Sizzix’s Funky Insects die and Leaf Fragments die, along with lots of Distress Oxide inks, Sprays, and sparkle with Tim Holtz’s Mica Stains.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using AALL & Create BASIC VEGGIES A4 Clear Stamp Set image on the background, and decorated it with Ranger Stickles ORANGE SLICE Glitter Glue and Tim Holtz Idea-ology METALLIC Sticker Book.

Sandra  made her first Halloween card of the season and added sparkle with Nuvo Shimmer Powder Storm Cloud, Nuvo Sparkle Spray Morning Fog, her own mix of Distress Spray Stain Rusty Hinge with Perfect Pearls Perfect Copper and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. 

Zoey used the latest Halloween StampersAnonymous stamp set Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps WICKED HIPSTERS She also used Tim Holtz Distress MICA STAIN SET 2 and Tim Holtz Distress SPARKLE SET Ranger to add some sparkle on! For the background she used Tim Holtz Distress TEXTURE SET Ranger and then a mix of Distress Oxide Spray and Distress Spray. To decorate the tag, she used a Tim Holtz Idea-ology QUOTE CHIPS
