Nikki has created a journal page featuring vellum flowers and acetate butterflies. The colourful page features newly released stamps from PaperArtsy by Tracy Scott (TS058 and TS055) and Alison Bomber (EAB21) along with lots of PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylics and stencils (PS224, PS242 and PS234.)

Anna-Karin created a clear card and embossed the background with the Simon Says Stamp Vine Canopy embossing folder. The flowers were stamped on vellum using the Anna’s Flowers set.

Barbara used an acetate sheet along with Tim Holtz Sizzix’s 3D Embossing Folder Foundry to create the background for her Mini Framed Panel by Idea-ology which she painted with Ranger Alcohol Ink Mushroom and Distress Paint Salvaged Patina. Under the acetate sheet, she used a stamp from the Inventor 7 by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous along with various Ranger Distress Mini Ink Pads.

Cheiron used Tonic A2 Shaker Creator Pockets to house her Distress Inked Panel and tons of sequins. She added stamps from the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Distingushed set over an Idea-ology Stencil Chip. As a finishing touch she added a Quote Chip,

Emma had a clear idea of what she wanted to make and her card was inspired by the Disney classic, Finding Nemo! She used a Sizzix 3.5″ Shaker Dome to create a fish tank and added tiny fish, die cut using the Sizzix Under The Sea 1 Thinlits Die Set by Tim Holtz. She completed the card with a background of Distress Spray Stains and added texture using the Tim Holtz Scales Layering Stencil.

Kath used Waffle Flower A7 Layers Dies, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Abandoned Paper and Acetate to create a frame for her Vintage Style Shaker Card. She added texture to the background with Distress Crackle Texture Paste and Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Deco Arch Stencil, added Prima Art Stones, Sizzix sequins and decorated with Idea-ology Layers Engraving images coloured with Distress Crayons and Clippings Stickers.

Macarena made a floral shaker card using for the background IO Peony Pattern stamp and the Tim Holtz Sizzix Brushstroke Flowers 2. She colored the acetate window with several Ranger Alcohol Inks and stamped a butterfly from the Stampers Anonymous Specimen stamp set.

Maura made an art journal page using Stamperia Lady Vagabond Clear Die Cuts, along with Stamperia’s Big Bubbles for her clear elements. She also used Stamperia’s Cosmos paper pack, and Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Gauge Frames Embellishments and its plastic packaging to make windows to see Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Found Relatives Portraits.

Sandra made a card using the Specimen stamp set and some acetate form old packaging. She stamped it with StazOn Jet Black Ink and applied Distress Speckled Egg Paint on the back to give it some color.

Zoey used Tim Holtz Idea-ology TRANSPARENT WINGS to decorate this tag. She also used Tim Holtz Idea-ology TYPOGRAPHY Collage Paper for the background that she colored with Distress Ink, Distress Ink Oxide, Distress Ink Stain and Distress Paint. For the background she also used Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps THE POINSETTIA.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

  1. I was wrong: i thought it would be about gears. Amazing projects from the DT. I already go to do me (like says Tim HOLTZ: “do you”).

  2. Lovely Challenge My acetate, probably won’t count its hold up little flowerpots on the ‘back’ and a little mice on the ‘front’ of my card.

    1. Of course it counts :-) It doesn’t matter how you use the clear element! :-)
