This week we are welcoming the lovely Estelle Palumbo aka Atouscrap into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog you are in for a real treat! Please pop by to say ‘Hi’

Estelle created a mixed media piece symbolising love by using different elements. She used Carabelle Studio Stamps together with Ranger Archival InkAlcohol InksDistress Inks,Embossing Powder and Distress Crackle Paste. For the main focus she used Tim Holtz Paper dolls.

Anna-Karin made a sweet gnome card with a heart background. The gnome was stamped with Carabelle Zolitins Des Boi and colored with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. The hearts in the background were die cut with the Simon Says Stamp Chunky Hearts Panel.

Barbara created an Idea-ology Framed Panel using Carabelle Studio Constellation Stencil along with Ranger Distress Crackle paste, Tim Holtz Sampers Anonymous Heart and Soul Stamp, Sizzix Falling Hearts Thinlits Die Set

Cheiron created a mixed media tag using the Carabelle Studio Pearl stamp. She paired this sweet gal with a background using Distress Paints and the Dots stencil from Stampers Anonymous. She added some Dina Wakley Collage Paper from the Just Words pack center cuts from the Sizzix Thinlits Falling Hearts die.

Come rain or shine, Emma’s theme for her Valentine’s Day card is to love with all your heart and she used the Carabelle Studio Constellation Stencil to create a background of Translucent Grit Paste and Speckled Egg Distress Glaze before adding the umbrella, which is one die from The Gent Thinlits Die Set by Tim Holtz/Sizzix, ready to capture a cascade of Falling Hearts.

Kath created an Art Journal page dedicated to love using her Ranger Gel Plate with Dina Wakley Paints, Carabelle Studio Spiral Fantasy Texture Plate and Fantasy 6″ x 6″ Stencil, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Field Notes, Tim Holtz/Sizzix The Park, Alphanumeric Stretch Upper and Tiny Type Lower Thinlits and Lucky Love 3D Impresslits.

Maura used the Dyan Reavely Creative Flip Journal as her base to create a love story of the squirrel, Carabelle Studios Ecureuil stamp, and the chameleon, Carabelle Studios Cameleon stamp, along with lots of Spiral Fantasy designs from Carabelle Studio, because after all, this love story must be imaginary.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia House of Roses Paper on the background and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Found Relatives and Tim Holtz Sizzix Winged 3D Impresslits Cut and Emboss Folder.

Sandra made a Valentine card using Typeset Collage Paper and Soft Matte Gel, and added texture with Carabelle Around the World Stencil with Distress Crackle Texture Paste, and gave it color with Liquid Acrylics MagentaDistress Paint Spun SugarNuvo Shimmer Powder Cherry Bomb and Infusions Are You Cerise.

Zoey used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray in Crackling Campfire and Speckled Egg to add a bit of color to her tag. For the background she used a combination of Tim Holtz Design Tape ( Collector, Halloween, French and Elementary) She also used Tim Holtz Picket Fence Paint to emphasize the already gessoed background.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
