It’s Anita’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
Anita made a mixed media composition for a timely birthday greeting. She used modeling paste and acrylic paints for the background. For the foreground, she used Prima Marketing Metallique acrylics and metallic wax on polymer clay items from Prima Marketing Stars and Moons mold, and a lot of art stones.
Anna-Karin created a book-themed tag this week, inspired by a Darkroom Door sentiment stamp from their Bookworm set. She also used a Tim Holtz Junk Drawer Baseboard clock and Game Spinners.
Barbara has created a classic tag with one of her favorite set by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, The Professor. She added Idea-Ology Metal spinner, Idea-ology Thought Tokens, Distress Ink Crackling Campfire, Peacock Feather, Walnut stain, Tim Holtz Mini stencil set 1.
Cheiron created a snarky tag using Tim Holtz Big Talk Snarky Stickers. She added some die cuts from Sizzix The Gent and Timekeeper dies on a colorful, inky background sprayed with Distress Spray Stains and stamped with images from the Stampers Anonymous Mini Glitch Set.
Emma is counting down the days to Valentine’s Day and was inspired to create a Mini Etcetera tag all about ‘making time for the things you love’. She used a combination of a new die, The Park, together with some older Sizzix dies, Timekeeper and Steampunk Parts all by Tim Holtz and added Typography Findings to complete the piece.
Kath created a planner using Sizzix Mat Board, covered with Tim Holtz Abandoned Fabric and decorated with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Perspective, Alphanumeric Bold Thinlits and Idea-ology Field Notes and other Ephemera
Lols’s thoughts immediately turned to ‘Happy Hour’ and used a Tim Holtz Cocktails Blueprints Cling Stamp Set for her favorite glass of martini, shaken, not stirred. For the background she used a Rings Cling Stamp and a selection of Distress Crayons and finished with a Snarky Small Talk Sticker.
Macarena made a masculine, steampunk and shaker card using Tim Holtz Sizzix Steampunk Parts Bigz die and Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Clock stamp. Underneath the clock there is a golden panel of Tim Holtz Sizzix Foundry 3D folder and all the details are touched by Prima Marketing White Gold Metallique wax.
Maura thought of the Alice in Wonderland story when she made her card with Stamping Bella’s Oddball White Rabbit who is never on time. She used a Simon Says Stamp’s Old Letter Stamp for the background, and a Chunky Heart at the center of the clock.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Stamperia Sir Vagabond Gears and Clock Grayboard embellishment and decorated it with Prima Marketing Sugar Cookie Christmas Flowers and Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Quote Chips.
Sandra dusted off her Gel Plate and made a black and white monoprint with the Clockwork stencil and Distress Paint Black Soot. Added some foil with Toner Ink and the Dapper stamp set.
Zoey used Tim Holtz Urban Layers to decorate the background of this tag, she then used a Theories Quote Chip and a Photobooth images to create layers and focal points.
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
