Simon Says: Ice Cold

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week we are challenging you to make something:

ICE COLD

Makena was reminded of all the wonder that the ice cold of winter can bring and immediately thought of snowmen. She made the background using Speckled Egg and Stormy Sky Distress Inks and used a Tim Holtz Mini Swirly Snowflakes Stamp Set . She used Snowman, Branched Birch and Poppystamps Evergreen Trio Dies and finished with Distress Crayons, Mica Spray and various elements from Ideology to pull the frosty look together.

Anna-Karin made a winter village with pastel colors and lots of sparkly snow. She used Tim Holtz Paper Village dies to create the houses. The little deer comes from the Decorative Deer set and the sparkly roofs of the houses were die cut with SSS Glitter Paper.

Barbara created a double project inspired by the fabulous colors of glaciers. The first project is a card realized with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Bold Tidings 4, Forest Floor, Distress Dry Glitter Clear Rock Candy, Ranger Alcohol Ink Aqua. The second project has made with Idea-ology Display Dome, Idea-ology Salvaged Santa, Distress Grit Paste Opaque, Mica Flakes.

Cheiron created a card with a laminated window of Distress Mica Flakes with a technique inspired by Nina-Marie Trapani to give her card an icy look. She used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Christmastime 3 and Forest Floor stamp sets along with some Metallic Kraft Stock to frame her card panel.

Emma created a card inspired by Disney’s Frozen. She used Speckled Egg and Iced Spruce Distress Inks to create an icy background, before adding the Sizzix Stunning Snowflake by Tim Holtz as her focal point, together with the word ‘snow’, taken from one of the quotes in the Tim Holtz Bold Tidings 4 stamp set.

Kath has that “Christmas is sneaking up on me” feeling and has created gift card holders for the younger members of the family. She used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Christmastime 3 and Retro Flakes embossed with Simon Says Antique Gold Embossing Powder on a Distress ink background and added the cute Tim Holtz/Sizzix Papercut Christmas 2 Colorize snowmen

Lols  made an ice cold Christmas Card using a fabulous Tim Holtz Merry Misfits Cling Stamp Set, White Embossing and Moon Dust Stickles Gel for extra icy sparkle.

Macarena made a snowy and icy card using Tim Holtz Sizzix Destination die and the Simon Says Stamp Lil Gnome die. She applied a generous amount of white embossing enamel and the Tim Holtz Distress Mika Flakes.

Maura created an icy cold scene of the polar regions, using Stamperia’s Arctic/Antarctic 8×8 papers, Southern Ocean stencil, and the Arctic/Antarctic die cuts in the Dina Wakley Media Journal.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media holiday tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix Geo Christmas Thinlits Die, and decorated it with Idea-Ology Christmas Word Adornment and Tiny Bell Findings.

Sandra made a Christmas card using the Winged Impresslit as her main focal point, but to make it more wintery, she used Speckled Egg and Weathered Wood Distress Ink with a sprinkle of Burnt Umber Glamour Pigment

Zoey used Simon Says Stamp EMBOSSING POWDER GOLD Ultrafine over her favorite stamp Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps 2020 THE POINSETTIA CMS426. For the background of her tag she used various Alcohol Inks and she also decored the tag with Tim Holtz DISTRESS MICA FLAKES Ranger, Tim Holtz Idea-ology CHRISTMAS Sticker Book and Tim Holtz Idea-ology METALLIC DROPLETS
