It’s Alison’s  last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

Alison’s movie inspiration is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!  That bit where the walls are closing in on Indy, and the woman has to reach in to pull a lever all the while insects of all shapes and sizes swarm all over her, and all the while the blood magic ceremony is going on in the underground cavern just beyond.  Tim Holtz’s Specimen Stamps get a starring role, along with Crackling Campfire Distress Ink playing spattered blood across the Pumice Stone walls, and the ancient scripts Indy is always deciphering to find the hidden key to a problem are hovering in the background thanks to the Faded Type Stamps.  Come see more at Words and Pictures.

Andrea was inspired by The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and its message to live your dreams, be courageous, and rediscover joy. She used Dina Wakley’s Be Willing stamp set, Dina’s Collage Backgrounds Paper, and Altenew’s Positivity washi tape to make this notebook cover.

Anna-Karin was inspired by a book, but it has also been made into movies, namely Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. She used Tim Holtz Sketch Manor stamp sat, and ephemera from Halloween Layers and Curiosities.

Barbara loves the short story A Christmas Carol and was inspired by the Disney film version of 2009. The Holiday Scenes set by Tim Holtz is perfect for setting the mood of the film. To make the card Barbara also used Tim Holtz’s Yuletide Gathering set, Heavystock tags, Peeled paint Distress ink pad, Fired brick Embossing Glaze.

Cheiron was inspired by the movie Legally Blonde and thought the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Runway stamp with the girl and her dog would be a perfect Elle Woods likeness! She tinted Gina K White Glitz Glitter Gel mixed with some Spun Sugar Distress Ink Reinker and put the gel through the Dina Wakley Media Mantras stencil. She colored her image in all the pinks :) and added a sentiment from the Tiny Text stamp set.

Emma was inspired by the movie classic ~ It’s A Wonderful Life and created a vintage style Mini Etcetera Tag. She stamped a background using the Stampers Anonymous Sketch Greenery stamp set by Tim Holtz and told the story with a Christmas Paper Doll, complete with golden wings, created with the Winged 3D Impresslit Cut & Emboss.

Kath was inspired to create a card for a friend’s grandson who is a wannabe Captain Jack Sparrow and big fan of Pirates Of the Caribbean. She used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Skelly Colorize, Steampunk Parts , Alphanumeric Classic Lower Thinlits, Idea-ology Abandoned Mini Paper Stash, Halloween Trimmings and a mix of Sizzix Sequins

Lols, being the owner of several cats just had to go with the movie and stage play ‘Cats’! She used a gorgeous new Paper Artsy Zinski Art 50 Stamp Set and made 2 cards to share today. She used a Gel Press Printing Plate and Distress Paints to make the background and coloured the cats with a combination of Distress Inks and Zig Real Brush Markers. The little mouse popped in the stocking is from Lawn Fawn

Macarena had a tough choice but finally put it on Black Swan and made a mixed media background with a help of Tim Holtz Iron Works stencil and the Prima Marketing Plaster Paste. Her ballerina comes from Visible Image Born To Perform stamp.

Maura made a Halloween card with a Hocus Pocus theme – a favorite movie of hers in this season. She used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Creepy Eyes to embellish the card. She stamped the potion bottles using Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous The Chemist stamp set, and used the Worn Wallpaper by Tim Holtz for the background.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps At the Movies and decorated it with Idea-Ology Mimi Gears Sprockets and Factory Tag Embellishments

Sandra made her final Halloween card of the season and was inspired by every scary movie that has a scary cemetery scene, she used Stormy Sky Distress Ink and Faded Jeans and Black Soot Distress Oxide for the background and used Grit-Paste on the tombstones.

Zoey was inspired by the movie “The Silence of The Lambs” and made this tag using Tim Holtz Layering Stencil DECO ARCH, Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps 2020 SPECIMEN and Tim Holtz Idea-ology FOUND RELATIVES. She also used Tim Holtz Crackle Paint and a bunch of distress paint!

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
