Simon Says: Spritz and Splatter

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Anything But A Card Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week we are challenging you to

SPRITZ AND SPLATTER

As it’s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Artsy. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.

As you may know, the  Simon Says Stamp Store is accepting new orders, but have longer shipping times for the moment due to the coronavirus. With this in mind we have made the difficult decision to suspend the $50 voucher for this challenge.

We know that many people are staying safe at home and we would love it if you would continue to enter the challenges and have fun! We are all in this together!

Please remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love

This week we are welcoming the lovely Cath Wilson aka Inky Fingers into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

Cath was Inspired by the wonderfully whimsical Zinski Mice from Paperartsy, she created a fun-filled birthday card for her ‘party animal’ son, on a ‘spritzed and splattered’ Tim Holtz Distress Oxide background.

Andrea made a tag with lots of spritzes and splatters. She used two Paper Artsy circle stamps designed by Tracy Scott (EM60 and EM64) and always reaches for her Distress Sprayer when working with Infusions (Orange County, Lemoncello, Are you Cerise, and Rusty Car for this project).

Anna-Karin made an art journal page with splatters of color using Paper Artsy Infusions Colored Stain. The sentiment comes from the lovely Paper Artsy The Happiness Edition set by Alison Bomber. She also used the Simon Says Stamp Rose Trio stencil.

Barbara really loves splatters of color! She created an Etcetera Tag using Paper Artsy Infusions in various shades for the background and embellishments. He also used Tim Holtz  Ranger Embossing Glaze Antique LinenTim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Inventor 1, and Tim Holtz Sizzix Retro Type Bigz Die.

Cheiron created a card using the Distress Paints and the Distress Paint lifting technique, then splattered the panel with Paper Artsy Fresco Finish French Roast paint. She used a variety of Stampers Anonymous stencils including Mini Stencil Set 29, Mini Stencil Set 30, and Mini Stencil Set 35. She finished her card with a Photobooth photo, Media Marks Thinlits and a sentiment from Mini Motivation.

Emma went under the sea and created a canvas panel using PaperArtsy Infusions, In The NavyThe Sage, and Violet Storms to make the perfect background for her octopus, which was stamped using the Stampers Anonymous Sea Life stamp set by Tim Holtz and watercolored with Distress Marker Pens.

Kath made a trio of bookmark tags to send to her “stay at home” friends who enjoy curling up with a good book in the afternoons if the weather prevents them working in their gardens. She used PaperArtsy Infusions to create a quick background, decorated with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Digits Mini Layering Stencil from Set 48, stamped images from Entomology, Flutter and The Chemist and used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Label and CutOut Script Thinlits for the sentiments.

Macarena made a colorful tag using the lovely Paper Artsy Jofy Mini 13 and 46 stamps. She colored the background and the flowers with several Distress Oxide Inks.

Maura created a very fishy scene in her Dylusion’s Creative Black Journal using Paper Artsy’s Gwen Lafleur Eclectica3 04 and Eclectica3 06 stamps, along with the Paper Artsy Hot Pick 2001 stamps. She spritzed and splattered on some Paper Artsy Infusions like Green Man and Fresco Finish paints like Cloud 9.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Paper Artsy Acrylic Paints on the background and decorated it with Prima Marketing Sweet Confection Dulce Flowers

Sandra  loves using Paper Artsy Infusions, and so she used Are You CeriseOrange County and Lemoncello for this card to give it some color, and in the background she used washi tape and Botanical Collage Paper.

Zoey used a mix of Paper Artsy Infusion Green Man, Black Night and The Sage – she also mixed it with Distress Inks . To add some texture she used Paper Arsty Fresco Finish Crackle paint.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
