Claudia customized a cardboard desk tidy to turn in into one that fits her style and makes an impact on her work desk. She used Emerald Creek Embossing Powders alongside Tim’s Voltage Die to create a grungy, rusty storage for her craft tools.

Andrea paid homage to rust in her Dina Wakley White Media Journal. She used a fabulous sentiment from Inky Antics’ Encouraging Words stamp set as her focal point and used lots of stencils, including Altenew’s Bubble Wrap and Dina Wakley’s Petals, for the background.

Anna-Karin created a tag with several different rusty techniques. She used three embossing powders by Ranger: Hammered, Sea and Mint Chip, in combination with Tim Holtz’s Scallop Shifter Stencil and Faceted Heart die set.

Barbara this week had much fun to create lots of rusty textures! She used Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stencil FlourishSeth Apter Chunky Rust powderRanger Ink Garden patina Embossing PowderNuvo Expanding Mousse SeedTim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Butterfly.

Cheiron created a rusty Typewriter featuring the new Retro Type die and a tiny heart from the Falling Hearts dies. She used Rust Effect Paste, Fossilized Amber and Rusty Hinge Distress Paint to create the Distress effect on her typewriter. Her background was created with images from the Stampers Anonymous Documented set.

Emma was in her element creating a rusty Mini Etcetera Tag and used a combination of Distress Paints, Grit Paste and Chunky Rust Embossing Powder to create the effect on the Sizzix Voltage Die by Tim Holtz, and her background that uses the Mechanics 3D Embossing Folder.

Kath decorated a Tim Holtz/Sizzix BigZ XL Curio Box using Pattern Repeat Thinlits to create rusty chicken wire and added rust coloured butterflies from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Botanical Layers.

Macarena made a non typical Valentive’s Day card using Tim Holtz Sizzix Faceted Heart die, some resin gears made with Prima Marketing Mechanica mould and quite much of Prima Marketing Rust pastes.

Maura loves her rust and steampunk, so she combined them in her ATC’s. She used Paper Artsy’s Seth Apter 10 Eclectica3 stamps, Emerald Creek’s Chunky Rust Embossing Powder, and Stamperia’s Mechanical Sea World papers.

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Paper Stash Abandoned on the background and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea- Ology Keyholes Key Hardware and Ornate Plates

Sandra had fun grunging up the Faceted Heart die using Distress Oxide Vintage PhotoMetallique Waxes and Lava Paste. And building up the background with Distress Ink and Oxide along with Metallique Paints

Zoey used her favorite combination of Distress Ink to create this rust effect , she also used Ranger Perfect Pearls PERFECT GOLD Powder to add some Gold Accents and Tim Holtz Idea-ology STENCIL CHIPS to decorate.

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
