Simon Says: Home Sweet Home
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Frame Up Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the theme is
Home Sweet Home
There are so many ways you can interpret this theme! Whether you choose to make a new home card or a home decor project, we will be looking forward to seeing what you create!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
Remember to click on the person’s name to see all of the details of how we made these creations and leave these wonderful girls some comment love
Sonia made a House shaped DIY storage organizer using chipboard and Graphic 45 papers and used the gorgeous Prima Dome and Prima Typo Bulb as focal embellishments. The draws fit inside the house and are designed to hold different sizes of embossing folders. The roof of the house also lifts up to store more crafty paraphernalia!
Andrea made a set of journaled memory cards about her childhood home, room by room. She used one of her favorite dies, Artful Dwellings, to make the houses and embellished the cards usingTim Holtz’s Journey design tape and a Love Knots stamp.
Anna-Karin made a mini book to document all the homes and places in which she has lived. The base is a Tim Holtz Chronicle Worn Cover, and it was embellished with, among other things, Suburbia Cityscape dies and the Bricked stencil.
Barbara had much fun creating an Etcetera tag! She used Distress paints and Distress Oxides to color it and Sizzix Tim Holtz Suburbia to decorate the centre of her project.
Cathie created a whimsical happy home scene to represent the fun that constantly takes place in her home with her large family. The house was created from the Artful Dwellings die set and the background scene was painted with several Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paints and stamped with the PaperArtsy EKC 02 and Jofy 15 stamp sets.
Emma felt there was no place like home and created a project celebrating her home town of London. She used an Etcetera Tag as the base, covered with papers from the Correspondence Paper Stash and added a Paper Doll standing against the globe.
Kath created a framed panel to hang in her craft room using Distress Oxide Inks with Sizzix/Tim Holtz Cityscape Suburbia and Commute Thinlits
Lols was inspired to make a home away from home on the shores of the Indian Ocean using shells collected on a beach just south of Goa. She used a Tim Holtz Village Dwelling and Surf Shack to create the base and then had fun putting it all together.
Macarena made a canvas being inspired by house renovation she uses to make on Springtime. She used Bigz Pipeline Die by Tim Holtz and Sizzix and some Distress Oxide Inks to give the color to the background and put them also through Grid Stencil.
Maura had fun creating a little mixed media house from a block of wood and covering it with Crate Paper’s Oasis collection, then stamping images with Darkroom Door’s Bookworm set, Seth Apter’s Border Lines from Impression Obsession, and Carabelle Studio’s Strange Nature stamps.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media tag with sentiments using Tim Holtz Type Charms Alphabets and Idea-ology Alpha Parts.
Sandra made a card using Distress Oxide Reinkers and one of the houses from the Cityscape Metropolis die set.
Zoey used her favorite Distress Crayons to alter this plastic cap
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
