Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Make Your Own Background Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week we are inviting you to go all nautical with 

LIFE ON THE OCEAN WAVES

Kerstin was inspired to create a new home decoration piece, it’s a mixed media wooden plaque. She used Tim Holtz Sizzix SEASHELLS Bigz Die With Texture Fades, a Sizzix LUMBER 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder aand Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Oxide Sprays

Andrea used Jane Davenport’s Mermaid Tail swatch die and stamp set to make fish-shaped embroidery floss holders.  She utilized some of her favorite stamp sets (such as Dina Wakley’s Scribbled Text Elements and Inky Antics’ Big Bold Borders) to give her fish some extra oomph!

Anna-Karin made a scrapbooking layout this week, about beach life and playing in the waves. Among other things, she used Simon Says Stamp Anchors Background stamp, Your Light stamp set and Anchor die

Barbara loves so much the seashells of any kind! She took her inspiration from the most classic colors of the sea landscape!  She created a tag with Tim Holtz Sizzix Seashell Bigz dieTim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Nature’s wonder stamp setStampendous Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel,  Tim Holtz Sizzix Plank and a lot of Tim Holtz Ranger Distress oxides

Cheiron created a card with an Ocean Waves Background she created using the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Crackle 3D Texture Fade, which she embossed then painted in with Distress Inks. She used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Crazy Talk and Blockprint stamp sets to created the sentiment on her card and added a crab from the Mariner Blueprint set. She finished off her card with some Chit Chat stickers. 

Emma was inspired by one of her favourite films, Pirates of the Caribbean and created a Vignette Box using one of the exciting new releases from Tim Holtz, the Skull & Crossbones die and the Lumber 3D Texture Fade. She completed the box with idea-ology pieces, including a Halloween Quote Chip.

Kath created an underwater scene for her cute Idea-ology Found Relatives shipmate who is off to sail the oceans blue in search of the treasures of the deep using Distress Oxide Inks, Tim Holtz Cauldron Bigz die, Steampunk Parts, Large Funky Festive Thinlits and Idea-ology Bauble Findings

Lols made a card using an Anchors Cling Stamp and white embossed the design before spritzing with Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio Oxide Sprays. She then used Rusting Powder on the Anchor to make it look old.

Macarena made a huge home decor anchor using Prima Marketing Hollybrook Ironwork mould, some shades of blue Distress Sprays and mixed various blue Finnabair Impasto Paints

Maura loves going to the ocean and watching the waves roll in. She made an accordion book, stenciled on waves with Joggles Ocean Meadows stencil, and filled it with sea creatures using the Simon Says Stamp Under the Sea set and Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Sea Life stamps. 

Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed media art journal page using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad Salty Ocean on the background, and embellished with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Mariner Blueprint and Idea-Ology Photo Booth Vintage Photo.

Sandra loves playing with moulds, like the Flower Queen mould, and she made it really ocean themed with the Simon Says Stamp Sailboat die and Waves stamp
