This week we are welcoming the lovely and super talented Ashley aka She Is Crafty into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog you are in for a real treat! Please pop by to say ‘Hi’
Ashley made her tag using Tim Holtz Mini Etcetera Tag, Distress Paints and Distress Crayons. The frame was made using TH Vignette Frames, Alcohol Ink, and a 3D Texture Fade Folder.
Andrea revamped this Dylusions Dyalog Pocket Insert using Brutus Monroe’s View Cartridge Chipboard and Aqua Pigments in Blue Green and Yellow. A Dina Wakley Small Journal Clip and an upcycled egg dipper add a metallic touch.
Anna-Karin made a glow in the dark butterfly panel using the fun Brutus Monroe Glow In the Dark embossing powder together with their Simple Blend Butterfly Stencil and Mask. She also used Aqua Pigments for the background..
Barbara was inspired by the theme of ecology for her canvas! She used Brutus Monroe’s Mermaid tail ultra fine embossing powder along with Stencil Splash by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous. She created some embellishments for the corners with Brutus Monroe Acrylic Bubbles Flat Back Decorative Details altered with Ranger Alcohol Ink Gunmetal Metallic Mixative. As a central point, she used Tim Holtz Sizzix Destination die and a lot of Idea-ology Paper Dolls.
Cheiron used Brutus Monroe’s Rainbow Sparkle Ultra Fine Embossing Powder to accent her rainbow colored Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Scrollwork Background. She finished off her card with an embossed sentiment from the Mini Motivation set.
Emma’s combined Brutus Monroe’s Gilded and Gilded Sparkle Embossing Powders to add some metallic shimmer to the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Destination globe that was used as the main focal point on her vintage style panel.
Kath had lots of fun mixing Brutus Monroe Raven, Gilded and Sterling Embossing Powders to add metallic accents and texture to the background using Tim Holtz Mosaic Mini Layering Stencil and also to the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Large Stems, Potted and Steampunk Parts die-cuts.
Lols made a birthday card using an adorable Brutus Monroe Monster Selfie Clear Stamp. For the background she used a Brutus Monroe Coffee Rings Toner Sheet and Gina K Sweet Mango Foil for the metallic element.
Macarena made a collage card using Tim Holtz Idea-ology Metallic paper, Prima Marketing Firebird Metallique Wax and she embellished it with Brutus Monroe Acrylic Bubbles colored with Ranger Alcohol Inks.
Maura made a trio of cards by creating her own background with Brutus Monroe Gilded and Penny Metallic Aqua Pigments and the Brutus Monroe Mermaid Lagoon Tangled Waves stencil.
Meihsia was inspired to create a mixed tag using Brutus Monroe Clear Stamp Rockstar Pets and colored the tag using Tim Holtz Flip Top Distress Paint.
Sandra made an art journal spread and added lots of metallic to her pages using Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Green Parade, Atlantis Burst, Yellow Flare and Storm Cloud. Also Metallic Waxes to add even more shimmer, and she used metallic Peacock Sequins from Brutus Monroe.
Zoey used Brutus Monroe Glow in the dark Sea Glass and a bunch of distress paint to create this mixed media panel. For the metallic…well..she added real metal!
So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

Thank you for the challenge. I’m not sure if charms are considered metallic or not. Just let me know if they aren’t. Thank you.
