Thanks/Thanksgiving

As we are celebrating Thanksgiving here in the US on November 22nd we thought it would be nice to have a challenge dedicated to being thankful!

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! Andrea utilized both the positive and negative acorn shapes she cut out with Right At Home’s Quirky Acorns die set on her “Give Thanks” tag.  She used the corresponding Quirky Acorns stamp set and Altenew’s Halftone stencil.

Anna-Karin started out planning to do an autumn themed project, but was inspired by a photo of a flower which is often called a weed, and ended up doing a cheerful scrapbooking layout about thankfulness instead. Various Sizzix embossing folders were used, in combination with stamps such as Darkroom Door Garden Birds and Nature Walk.

Barbara created an Etcetera tag using mixed media technique. She was inspired by Tim Holtz Sizzix Skeleton leaves , Tim Holtz Sizzix Shadow Script 2 and Idea ology Paper Dolls. She painted her project with Paper Artsy Infusions and Distress crayons.

Cheiron created a thankful card using her favorite fall Distress Ink colors and Simon Says Stamp Plank Background. She added some Sizzix Tim Holtz Skeleton Leaves and CZ DesignThankful die to finish her card along with a sentiment from the CZ Design 30 Days of Thankful set embossed in white.

Emma made a thank you card using the Sizzix Skeleton Leaves by Tim Holtz to create her focal point, together with a cluster of red berries made from Baubles inked with Cranberry Alcohol Ink. The leaves were layered onto matts of Metallic Kraft Stock and Classic Kraft Stock Paperie.

Kath created a set of Thank You cards to gift to a friend using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Nature’s Wonder and Craze and Planks stamp sets and created the sentiments using Simon Says Stamp Script Thanks Die and Big Thanks Words stamp set

Lols  made a rustic style thankful card using a Tim Holtz 3D Lumber Texture Fades Embossing Folder, a Simon’s Exclusive Thanks and Leaves Clear Stamp Set  and Thankful Die 

Macarena made a warm and brownish Thank You card using Tim Holtz Sizzix Globe die, colored the backgrounds with Distress Oxide Inks and embossed the sentiment taken from Simon Says Stamp Brush Stroke Messages. 

Maura made place cards for her family’s Thanksgiving dinner with the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit, Photo Play Fall Breeze paper pad, and the Simon Says Stamp Ornate Leaves stamp set. 

Meihsia was inspired to created a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Sizzix Celebration Words Script Thinlits Die for the sentiment, and Fall Foliage Thinlits Die to decorate the tag.

Sandra made a Thanks card using Crackle Paste with the Spaced Dots stencil, and to give color to her background she used Infusions, Shimmer Powder Atlantic Burst and as base Opal Magic Green-Gold Paint

Zoey used Prima Marketing Metallic Accents and Finetec Mica Watercolor Pearlescent Palette to color Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves and decor this little wood panel
