It is Chris’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)

Chris recycled a tissue box to make a into a coffee pod holder using a Stampendous, House Mouse Coffee Break Cling Stamp and decorated with Tim Holtz Funky Florals Set 3 Dies. She also used a Tim Holtz Splatters Layering Stencil along with a Gelli Plate and Paper Artsy Fresco Paints.

Andrea made some citrus wheels from Concord & 9th’s Orange You Sweet stamps and corresponding dies to decorate her tags.  She also added some inspiring words from Tim Holtz’s Elementary Flash Cards.

Anna-Karin made a couple of thank you cards this week, using an apple stamp from Tim Holtz’s Schoolhouse Blueprint set. The card base was die cut with the Simon Says Stamp 3 Sided Scallop die.

Barbara created a card using mirror stamping technique  with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous  Beer Blueprint stamps, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Lumber 3D Texture Fades Embossing Folder, Tim Holtz idea-ology Vintage Design Tape and Tim Holtz Idea-ology 8 x 8  Classic Kraft Stock.

Cheiron created a card with one of her favorite drinks…red wine! She used the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Wine Blueprints colored and cut them out and placed them on a Distress Woodgrain Cardstock panel cut with the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Deckle Thinlits dies. She finished her card off with a fun sentiment from the Snarky Small Talk Stickers.

Emma used the Eileen Hull Journal Die to create a vintage style recipe folder in memory of her Grandmother. She used Tim Holtz’s Tea Time Bigz Die to die cut three teacups from Worn Wallpaper and added these to the front cover of the book, together with Quote Chips and some metal embellishments. To see the inside of the book, you can pop over to Emma’s blog.

Kath made a Birthday Book for a friend using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Cocktail and Wine Blueprints, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Handwritten Celebrate and Handwritten Love Thinlits and added lots of Idea-ology Snarky Small Talk Stickers. You can see all the pages of the book over on Kath’s blog

Lols made a card using Tim Holtz Wine Blueprints as the main focus. For the background she used White Yupo Paper and Key West Alcohol Inks to create a marbled effect and then layered the panel on Simon’s Exclusive White and Schoolhouse Red Card Stock, She used a Perfection Die and used handwritten words to complete the sentiment. She finished by adding a couple of strips of Washi Tape and machine stitching around the edges.

Macarena made a set of wine cards using Tim Holtz Wine Blueprints stamps embossed with Simon Says Stamp Black Embossing Powder. She used some pieces of beautiful Prima St. Tropez paper collection and made the baclground using Simon Says Stamp Circle Doodle stamp.

Maura thought about all the wonderful times she’s had sharing tea with family and friends. She used Tim Holtz’s Tea Time Bigz die, Carta Bella Spring Market papers, and Iris Embroidery Thread in her Dina Wakley Media Journal.

  1. Thank you for the new challenge – I have to get my Coffee on – Cards and projects that is! Thanks for the lovely inspiration by the Design Team too!

  2. Wow, ladies!! All the designs are super inspiring! The talent here is so spectacular, and seeing your work twice a week is a tremendous treat!! Thank you for sharing!

  3. Hello ladies, this is a great challenge. I am tying to hung up my entries but the inlinks looks like is not working yet. Thank you.

    1. I tried Melissa SunshineHoneybee’s approach by going through the SSS blog and got a link but it would not access my blog. I had to load from my photo library… not sure if that works the same way but at least it is up there now.

  4. Apologies for the problems with inlinkz, it seems that it was showing OK for some people and not for others I have changed the code so hopefully it will be OK now :-) XXX

  5. Now that the link seems to be working I did not see a post for winner of the previous Challenge, Transport. Also, have a question about a comment I emailed to the Simon Store that I have not received a response on and would like for someone to contact me.
