You Make My Heart Skip A Beat

Hi readers! Happy Tuesday to you! I always look forward to our monthly features with Laura Bassen! This month, Laura is burning off those holiday calories with a super arm workout blending Simon Says Stamp exclusive ink colors: Duckling, Melon, Sunkist, Hot Lips, Doll Pink, and Hot Mama! To continue the celebration of DieCember™ she used two new dies from the You Have My Heart Collection, Nested Hearts, and On Edge Love You.

Don’t forget to watch the video, and enjoy!

  1. Laura’s card is so LOVELY! The coloring is just AMAZING and it has gorgeous different dimension levels that make the whole heart shape to pop up! I LOVE these new dies by Simon! <3 <3 <3

  2. Laura, this is such an awesome card. Love the blend of colors and the heart dies you used. I’m going to watch the video several times and see if I can duplicate. Thanks for the inspiration. Happy New Year!

  3. Not only do we get a beautiful card to inspire us, a tutorial on ink blending, a fabulous new and different look, and finally a good chuckle. I just love listening as well as watching when Wanda creates: she just makes me giggle with the wonderful tales of her and her families life! I love the dies Wanda used and more surprisingly for me the ink colours are just scrumptious that I would love to own them, even though I have a couple of drawers full of ink pads that I am doing my best to use a.s.a.p! Thanks for sharing Karen xx

    1. So sorry I got the names wrong – it’s Laura’s tales and creations that I just love and adore, as well as the life and tales from her family. I think I’m still worn out from Christmas lol! xx

  4. Laura knocked this one out of the park! I love the guillotine paper cutter. It reminds me of my childhood days in elementary school. That is where I first met the guillotine… My local craft place also has one. Colors are awesome as is Laura.

  5. What a bright and lovely card. I especially like the partial 3-D effect but the blending is a nice effect, too. I just got those heart dies in the mail yesterday!
