DSCN3139

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! I’m thrilled to welcome back Kelly Latevola as a guest designer on our blog! Have you seen this technique in action before? Kelly white embossed the WPlus9 Beautiful Bouquet Dahlia stamp set and sentiment, and used Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, and Salty Ocean Distress inks to get that gorgeous blended blue! Want to know how she made the floral portion lighter? Watch the video for details!

Enjoy!

  1. Wow, what a gorgeous card! Love this flower and in this card it actually takes on a look of a snowflake!

  2. I’ve seen this technique and it is also known as watercolor lifting. I like the added use of Copics. Thanks for the video.

  3. Wow!!! This card is gorgeous. Love your technique and can’t wait to try it. Thanks for sharing your talent, and saying what tools and products you used (dot the i’s and cross the t’s).

  4. Fabulous technique. I am so going to try this. Love Kelly’s videos, informative, amazing projects and I love her voice.

  5. Wow! This is truly beautiful! I watched the whole video, kept expecting you to use bleach at some point (because of the title), but I guess the water almost acts like bleach on the Distress Inks. All the little touches (splatters, shading & sparkles) truly make it pop! Thank you so much for sharing!

  6. Wow! This card is just stunning! I love how it looks! Using white embossing powder to stamp looks gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing with us this video. Regards, Marina

  7. That is beautiful! I have the distress inks… All I need are the stamps…and a good dose of your talent! Very pretty!

  8. Gorgeous! I tried watercolour lifting after I saw Jennifer McGuire’s technique video earlier this year and love the look. Love how Kelly made the flowers pop by adding shading using her Copics.
