Welcome Spring Canvas!

It’s finally here!!! SPRING has sprung and I am celebrating!!!
Shari Carroll Welcome Spring Canvas

I’ve had this idea dancing around in my head for awhile… a butterfly wreath… but it didn’t seem appropriate to create it mid-winter. I’ve been having a blast creating 6×6 canvas pieces, the size is perfect for all my card making dies, stencil and stickers. The wreath is formed from paper covered wire which I found at my local craft store along with Paper Twine by Maya Road.

It’s light and airy plus has that feel of Spring to me. I used the Prima paper pad for my collaged background along with a bit of tissue paper.  I pulled out a bunch of my dies including the Tim Holtz Movers and Shakers Butterflies which I cut out from book text, and the beautiful Simon Says Stamp Devonshire Butterfly cut from Bazzill Vellum.

The canvas came together pretty quickly and I shot a video of the process which you can see below or on our YOUTUBE CHANNEL.

  1. Beautiful spring design. Thanks for sharing. You mentioned using tissue paper at the edges but I think you used vellum? Right?

    1. Hi Marilyn, I used white tissue paper around the edges of the canvas. Vellum is too stiff and doesn’t adhere very well.

      Hope that helps!

      Thanks

  2. Hi Shari, I seem to think every projecy you do is perfect, this at the moment is one of my favourites, lol…. well till your next one… beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing,
