Watercolor Notecards by Cheiron Brandon
Hi friends! Happy Saturday, please join me in welcoming back special guest Cheiron Brandon with this gorgeous and colorful set of cards inspired by stationery products! Read on and enjoy!
Hi there crafty friends, it’s Cheiron Brandon here and I am happy to share another monthly project with you using Tim Holtz products. This month I was inspired by a notebook I saw in a stationery store to create a set of notecards using the Stampers Anonymous Brushstrokes stamps, Distress Oxides, and gold embossing.
Since these are so easy to create, I made a set of 4, each with a different sentiment combination to add to my stash of cards. These would also be great to make and give as a gift tied with a colorful ribbon and some matching envelopes – the colors could be switched up and suited to any recipient.
To begin, cut your card panels. I cut 4 – 4 x 5 ¼ panels of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I made 4 A2 size cards, but you can create one or as many as you have time for! I stamped the sentiments from the Botanical Sketch and Crazy Talk stamp sets for a fun combination using Black Soot Archival Ink. Then I created a design on each card using the Brushstrokes stamps and a soft rainbow of Distress Oxides layering some of the contrasting colors over each other, leaving white space around the sentiments.
Once I was done stamping, I gave my cards a quick dry with a Ranger Heat Tool. As a finishing touch I stamped and embossed gold accents onto the card. To do this, I started by prepping the surface with an embossing magic pouch. Then I used clear ink to stamp some marks from the Media Marks 1 set and embossed them with Ranger Gold Embossing powder. When the panels were complete, I added them to my card bases using foam tape.
That’s it! It’s really simple and easy to build up your stash in no time!

Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks to Cheiron for being our guest!
Nicely done!
I love these. I’m going to try to make a set today, leaving some without the sentiment so I can customize them as needed. Thanks for the inspiration!
This design can be used with so many sentiments! Love this so much. A scraplift (or is it cardlift) for sure.
What happy and colorful delights! Love every inch of these. Thanks for sharing.
These look amazing and I think it was such fun to make. I have several elderly friends that would love a set of cards. What a very thoughtful gift. TFS
