Watercolor Markers with Kristina Werner (Pawsome Love Stamps & Dies)
Hello, all! Happy 2020! Kristina Werner here. :) Today I have a couple of cards for you featuring the Pawsome Love stamp set and coordinating dies from Simon. Plus some tips and tricks for watercolor markers, specifically Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
After stamping the animals in a waterproof black ink on Bristol paper, I used the watercolor markers to color them. Then I painted a simple striped background using the markers as well.
To finish off the cards, I diecut thin frames out of gold foil cardstock using the A2 Thin Frames dies, also from Simon. The greetings were stamped using the Pawsome Love stamp set and heat embossed using gold embossing powder.
For some added shine, I applied Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the hearts on each card.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the video and all the tips for painting with watercolor markers!

Very cute cards. I love the stamp set. It’s going on my wish list. I forget about my zig markers. I will have to break them out soon.
Thanks for sharing your tips and the technique video for this card.
Love the color combo of the pretty stripes. And of course, the critters make them soooo cute!
What a great technique. Those stripes of colour make such a pretty background, and the images are so cute!

This is such a sweet set and super cute cards. I keep my Zigs and water brush in my “to go bag” for colouring away from home. I am still trying to perfect the Zigs but enjoy the process.
Happy New Year to everyone!

Cute cards! I love how adding the grey watercoloring on both sides of the stripes gives the background such dimension!
Amazing cards!
Lovely cards Kristina. I hated my Ziggs when I first got them, I had been “wanting” them for awhile but didn’t have much success until you “advised” to use the Bristol smooth-makes all the difference and I’ve been using those lovely markers for quite some time. Thanks!
Fantastic card. Thank you for the great tips.
Love that watercolor background!
I’ve got the zigs, but I need the Bristol paper and a big dose of Kristina’s talent!
