Throwback Thursday — Fabulous Projects You Might Have Missed!

Welcome to a brand new monthly trip back in time — Throwback Thursday! Each month we’ll be spotlighting fantastic cards using products from previous releases. The new stuff is always SO fun, but think about all of those great products you’ve collected and set aside. They are STILL AWESOME! And we want to inspire you with fantastic inspiration from our creative archives.

Let’s take a look at four colorful projects that will get you excited!

First up from our Hey Love release this project from Lisa Addesa:

Throwback Thursday Lisa Addesa

Lisa has such a knack for making simple cards look simply AMAZING! It’s pretty incredible how awesome this card looks with just two dies — Hearts Alive and Love — and a colorful background. You can see Lisa’s original post about this card and check out all of the fun details HERE.

Next, let’s throw it back to Stamptember (best month EVER!) and this awesome card from Sarah J. Moerman:

Throwback Thursday Sarah J. Moerman

The Abstract Triangles background stamp just BEGS for all sorts of glorious color, and Sarah absolutely ROCKED the rainbow with this card. With the black card base and added colorful bits, this design POPS! You can see Sarah’s original post about this card and learn how she created this remarkable card HERE.

Let’s go back a little further in time with an inspiring Reason to Smile project from Jennifer McGuire:

Throwback Thursday Jennifer McGuire

Believe it or not, Jennifer only used five different colors of ink on this project (not counting the white). She used the Jumbo Stripes stamp set and overlapped the stripes to create new colors. Once the background was created she stamped the Spring Flowers and Friendship Blooms images and sentiments (from our Reason to Smile release) on top with white ink. Want to learn more about how to achieve this super cool background? Visit Jennifer’s original post HERE. And of course you can learn even more by watching her YouTube tutorial HERE.

Our last throwback project by Jenny Colacicco incorporates a die from DieCember:

Throwback Thursday Jenny Colacicco

Jenny used the Circle Leaves die from our most recent DieCember release to create a mask and then blended three shades of Distress Inks to create this gorgeous focal point. Her sentiment comes from Simple Sentiments No. 1 by Cathy Zielske (CZ Design), and the simple font is the perfect offset to the pretty and delicate leaf design. You can check out Jenny’s original post HERE for more information on how she created this design.
