Super Simple with CZ: Classic Watermarked Backgrounds + Emboss Resist

Hi Simon friends! Cathy Z. here and today I’m sharing a few simple card projects featuring an oldie but goodie technique: the watermarked background.
Using embossing ink only, I created a simple tone-on-tone look for my card panels using the Chunky Flower 6 x 6 cling stamp.
Before I started making cards in 2017, I never realized that embossing ink was using in conjunction with embossing powder. I know that sounds hard to believe, but it’s true.
Prior to this time, I just used embossing ink to create a simple watermarked image on my cardstock. I forget how much I love this look, especially when trying to create a subtle tone-on-tone image for my backgrounds and panels.
