STAMPtember® Has Arrived at Simon Says Stamp!

stamptember2013blogbanner

Hello and welcome to the opening ceremony of our fourth annual STAMPtember® 2013 events!  My heart is pounding through my chest with excitement to begin to show you what we’ve been planning for this month long celebration of stamping! WELCOME!

Have you heard about STAMPtember!?

Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. During the past 11 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving people around the world access to a one stop shop. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a “STAMPtember” event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping.

Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complimenting ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, life documenting, art journaling, scrapbooking, mixed media and many forms of altering and expressing art.

Please join us all month long in September for inspiration, education, giveaways and fun!

In response to customer request, we made some helpful changes to our stamp sets.  The stamps are now indexed on the front with the name of the set and the sku.  Also, there is a clear sheet on both sides of the stamp.  Hopefully this helps in ease of storage.

Since it’s STAMPtember, I thought it would be a great time to introduce you to 13 very special stamp sets.  Below you can see the So Beautiful stamp set being used.  We designed this stamp set because we feel women need to hear more encouraging words.  It’s a great set to use to remind your friends and loved ones that they are beautiful.

I asked our designers to include feathers in this release.  We all seem to be loving feathers these days!  In the end, the result was not one, but two great feather sets!  One is a broader tip Feather die set and another is a more of a Pointed Feather die set.  The pointed dies are featured immediately below while the broader tip is featured further down.

I love how Shari Carroll used the new Friend Circles stamp set in the image below.  The Bold Flower Stencil is overlayed with the Ring Cluster Stencil to create an intriguing background.

Shari used my favorite stamp set of the entire release (oh boy it is hard to pick though!) in the card below.  Do you recognize “Tag Sayings“? It coordinates perfectly with the new “Medium Tag” dies also used in the card :)

Shari’s monthly art journaling features have created a lot of interest in the niche.  She designed the Simple Letter Outlines stamp set because she thought they were great not only for those who liked to art journal, but also for card makers.  I like stamping alphabets I can color whatever color I’d like!  Do you like to color your alphabets?

Many of our readers and youtube watchers know Mannie.  Mannie is Kristina’s sweet little kitty.  When designing a stamp set for our October kit, Kristina included Mannie.  It was then that we realized… WHERE IS MANNIE in our STAMPtember release!?  HERE HE IS!  Hey Pumpkin!  Stephanie Klauck brought him to life!

  1. What a fantastic release. It pretty hard to pick a favourite, but maybe the pointed feather die is leading by a nose at the moment as Debbie Hugh’s cards are absolutely stunning. But the field is wide open and there is a lot more wonderful inspiration to come, so there might be another winner by the end of September.

  2. My head is spinning from all the fabulousness! I am so glad I purchased the hero arts shadow inks in mint and peach and grey because I am loving the color combo featured today on so many cards. Debby Hughes really hits it out of the park. Her feather cards are perfect!

  3. My favourites are Handwritten Greetings and Hey Pumpkin – love that cute little kitty! Thanks for showcasing all these wonderful new stamps sets! Fabulous!

  4. I LOVE this new release and the cards are all GORGEOUS !! What wonderful inspiration and I am looking forward to the whole month of activities :-)

    Well Done everyone ! :-)

    luv
    Lols x x x

  5. Fantastic line up of new products. I love all the new sentiments and can’t wait to get my hands on the feather die.

  6. Wow, is all I can say! Do the Sketchy Banners stamp set and dies coordinate with the Card Exchanging Friends from the monthly card kit? I love the Friends Flag stamp set and dies, but everything is awesome!! My birthday is this month, so what better birthday gifts to get for myself?? :) Happy Stamptember!

  7. So many great new things in this release! Hope that you don’t limit the number of things we can have on our SSS Wish List….LOL! Can’t wait to see what the rest of STAMPtember has to offer.

  8. Love so much on here today! I am thinking the sketchy banners would be my favorite as I can use them for so much and all year long, but that Hey, Pumpkin! is too precious!

  9. Oh my gosh! I love this release! I need another job just to supplement my SSS habit. I am a fan of stamp and die sets…especially your exclusives. I want them all… Seriously! Ahhh!

  10. So many cute stamps sets. Ship, I can’t decide which ones I want to order first.
(You can probably tell which one will be at the top of the list – I do have a warped sense of humor.)

  11. What a great collection of new stamps and dies, etc. I have to look at this some more before I can choose a favorite and I probably won’t be able to nail it down to one!!!!!!

  12. Awesome. Now I need to know which of theses stamp sets will be In the sept Sssck so I won’t buy that one as I already have a list a mile long from this release. Great job

  13. I’m having serious retail itchy fingers right now…These are ALL such great products…especially the stamp/die sets and stencils.

  14. I’m so excited about Stamptember! Totally dig the naughty nautical stamp set and the borders too…and one can never have too many Thanks stamp set! The sketchy banners looks absolutely fun and goes easily with other stamp sets I already own… <3 …As for the diecut I'm in love with the feathers! :)

  15. So many awesome new products. Love so many of them. Wish I could have them all!
    Beautiful cards, Great inspirations.
