Altenew strives to bring you fresh, innovative and versatile designs. Their stamps are made from high quality clear photopolymer, and are manufactured in the USA.

I started this card by stamping the tree and the bicycle with a very light ink. I used Distress ink Antique Linen as it is one my lightest colors. Once the images are colored, the light outlines don’t show much, giving them a natural look. I used Copic markers for coloring. For the leaves on the tree, I simply dabbed the tip of the markers at random places to create a speckled look. For the bicycle, after it was colored with the same pink and gray markers, I used a 0.3 point black pen to draw the spokes of the wheels and the chain assembly.

I adhered a 1” wide gray card stock along the bottom of the card to mimic a pavement, and stamped the shadows with Versamark ink. To add a little sparkle, I adhered a thin strip of silver glitter card stock where the images and their shadows meet. The finished card is 3.5″ x 5.5″.

  1. Incredible cards from the Altenew ladies!! Their stamps are AMAZING to work with, and so unique from what’s currently on the market. Loved the post today; hope we get to see more from them!!

  2. 2 terrific cards! Thanks for the video. Very well done. I think your spring colors were the perfect pick since it’s the first day of spring in Australia.

  3. I have wish list of stamps from Altenew and it doesn’t include these 2 stamp sets — i need to reconsider that list and add both these sets to my wishlist. Awesome cards. I love the simplicity of the second card.

  4. These cards are adorable! And i luv the tree! How did you get the shadow of the bike and tree at the “shadow angle” ? It looks so real!

  5. Love how brilliant the reflection idea is!! Another use for vellum. Fabulous card. Love the bicycle card. It’s stunning in its simplicity. Beautiful colour selections.

  6. I may have hit my spending limit for this month already due to all of the fabulous new stuff. However, I am definitely adding the Shadow Play to my wish list. It is so gorgeous!! And love love the reflection technique!! So genius!! And just to emphasize how awesome both of these cards are…it’s a rare thing for my crafty stuff to catch my husband’s eye. But these beauties did & he also loves them!

  7. Love these cards. Great video. I’d love to know how you stamped the shadows of the bike and tree :) I can’t figure it out. They don’t look like the same stamps lol… Very cool!!! tfs

  8. These are amazing cards!! Love the glitter and the shadow effect on the bike card…with the pretty pink flowers! The Aussie inspiration is so cool with the reflection too!
