Spreading Holiday Joy
Hi readers! It’s getting close to that time of year where we all send out Holiday cards to our friends & family. It’s so fun to receive lots of different kinds of cards, but sometimes when sitting down to MAKE the cards you’ll be sending out it can be a bit daunting! There are ways to make it easier! The highlight of these cards is this lovely collaboration between Clearly Besotted & Simon Says Stamp!
I’m excited to share this fun design made by Stephanie Wincott with you today, along with some tips and tricks below on mass producing!
-
Keep it simple, the simpler the better
-
Keep embellishments to a minimum to keep shipping costs down – one layer cards are best
-
Easy way to add variety is by just changing the colour scheme, or by using a variety of sentiments
-
Have a conveyor belt type system in place – completing one element completely at a time (i.e. cutting card down to size, then stamping, then adding embellishments etc.)

Great tips on mass-production of Christmas cards.
Simple cards are the best especially for mass production cards!
Pretty cards and great tips.
Great tips … the simpler (and more gorgeous!), the better! Anita :)
Such elegant and beautiful cards. I love them! xx
Simply beautiful and elegant cards!!
Great ideas! I must admit, though, that I have a lot of fun making more involved cards. Is there such a thing as a card nerd? :)
Yes, I am one! :-)
Once again, Stephanie, you dazzle and delight with a set of cards that are eye-catching and striking. Incredibly beautiful…

when I’m making a number of the same card – I divide them into groups of 5 or 10.
When they are finished I can move on to the next group. That gives me an easily attainable goal and gives me a sense of accomplishment when that group is finished. I’m ready to start the next group. But – keep it simple
Thank you for the great idea for mass producing a beautifully designed card!
No matter how I try I never seem to master “Keep It Simple”! HA!
Me either
This will be my first time making Christmas cards. The idea of an assembly line will be quite helpful.
Great tips for mass producing! Love the tiny pearl embellishments.
Beautiful cards! Thanks for the assembly line advise!
:-)
Beautiful card. Thanks for the tips. I just bought this very stamp from SSS yesterday. Now I can’t wait til it gets here!
it’s true about keeping it simple for mass production. I do have a few more detailed holiday cards but for the most part simple is best.

The stamps used on these cards are gorgeous. Great job and thanks for sharing.
I really like these holly leaves!
Great information to make quick simple cards.
These are beautiful cards and perfect for mass production! I treated myself to these stamps so I’ll be having a go at doing something similar very soon.
This is a beautiful card design for the holidays.
Beautiful design. Amazing how different a card can look with a slight color change. Good way to use up the extra bits. I save all my scraps and try to use them when mass producing cards.
These cards are beautiful!! Thanks for the inspiration and ideas:)
Wonderful set of cards!!
Very well done… perfect combination of two fab companies!

Beautiful set of cards! Thanks for the great tips!
Beautiful cards! I have been mass producing yet trying those same tips, such as different colors or sentiments! Perfect!
This is a very nice collaborative set. It is nice to have some small variations when you make a number of the same card, as you’ve shown. It keeps it fun for the one making the cards! I really like the cord tied on each.
Really pretty cards with just enough difference between them to avoid going cross-eyed with repetition. Thanks, Stephanie.
Great idea! Simple and yet oh so nice…
Thanks for good advice.
Great cards. Thanks for the tips.
Love those cards.
Very pretty for the holidays!! Thanks for the idea!!
Thanks for the tips! Such lovely cards, and I agree about minimizing postage, because postage can be the most expensive component of the card!
Your cards are gorgeous, and the tips you shared are great !!!!
It is difficult for me to keep it simple because I get bored. The most cards I have been able to do in an assembly line is 10. I’ll have to say that it IS fun making cards this way IF I do keep it simple. I have to pace myself. I stamp 10 of the same stamps and walk away. Later I go back and color the stamps and possibly cut out the pictures if needed. I then go away again and come back next time to do the next step. This of course is when I am crafting by myself and have household responsibilities. As well, I have a crafting area where I can keep out my supplies. Thanks for the inspiration. It makes me want to get in there and make assembly line cards to get ‘dr done. Ha
That is “get ‘er done.” IPhone can’t handle my Larry the Cable Guy slang. :-)
