Spooky Halloween Card Idea!
Hi friends! Happy Sunday! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Cheiron Brandon with this spooky-cool Halloween card idea! Read on to learn more and enjoy!

Hi there crafty friends! It’s Cheiron Brandon here and I am happy to be back to share another project with you featuring Tim Holtz products.
Today, I am using the Skull and Crossbones Bigz die along with lots of Tim Holtz Idea-ology products to make a fun Halloween card. I don’t know about you, but I always love all of the Idea-ology papers and ephemera and I have been trying to incorporate them more into my card making. These gorgeous papers and metal pieces really help to make a card extra special.

To begin, I cut the Skull and Crossbones Bigz die out of a piece of chipboard to create a fun focal point for my card. Bigz dies are designed to cut through heavier materials, so this is perfect for chipboard. I painted the pieces with White Gesso and let them dry. Then I painted them again with Antique Linen Distress Paint and let them dry.

Once they were dry, I added some of the Crypt paste from the Distress Texture set. It is the perfect color to add some spooky texture. I spread the paste onto the chipboard then used the back of my palette knife to create some texture so the paste was not completely flat. Then I used a bit of Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and a Foam Blending Tool on the edges to give it some added dimension.

To create the card, I cut a piece of one of the Backdrops papers, then added bits of Ephemera. I added the Skull and Crossbones with foam tape and to complete the card, I used one of the Halloween Quote seals that I had colored over with an Antique Linen Distress Crayon to bring out the words, and adhered it with Distress Collage Medium.
It’s as easy as that, and a great way to use all those leftover ephemera bits! Hope you have a Happy Halloween!
