Sparkly Bloom Girl Canvas
Hi readers! Happy Thursday to you! I hope you’re having a fantastic week! Did you know Prima makes stamps? We will continue the STAMPtember® celebration with Prima stamping! Today I’m pleased to welcome back the fantastic Sharon Laakkonen to our blog for some gorgeous canvas inspiration!
Enjoy!
My sweet and very talented friend, Jamie, created the Bloom Girl stamps for Prima…and one just happens to be named “Sharon!” Of course I had to make my own little canvas piece for you using this new stamp. My Bloom Girl canvas is filled with products that make me happy: beautiful glass beads, mica flakes, butterflies, and a wonderful garden of flowers. I cannot wait to hang it up in my studio so that every time I look at it I am reminded how precious friends are!
1. Stamp Bloom Girl on canvas page with permanent Coffee Archival Ink.2. Spritz water on edges of canvas. Spray Color Bloom sprays along all edges leaving the center of the canvas untouched. Splatter “Gilded” Color Bloom spray in random places. Dry.3. Paint butterflies by spraying Gilded spray on a craft mat and painting with a fine brush.4. Die-cut five flowers with the Prima dies and white copy paper. Ink edges with a brown Chalk Edger.
5. Set Capistrano and Winthrop flowers on canvas as desired. Tuck die-cut flowers underneath flowers so edges stick out. Adhere all pieces to canvas with Fabri-Tac. Tie tangerine ribbon through sign and adhere to flower cluster with foam tape.6. Paint Soft Matte Gel on butterflies (work carefully around flowers.) Sprinkle glass beads on top of gel. Gently tap off extra beads. Dry.7. Randomly pounce brush with Soft Matte Gel on bottom of canvas. Sprinkle Mica Flakes on top. Tap off extra. Dry.Finish: Add weave trim to the canvas to hang your new Bloom Girl canvas up!
