Ranger Products Spotlight: Alcohol Inks!
Hi everyone, it’s Shari here with a card inspiration using some super fantastic Ranger products. I’ve been wanting to play with the Artists Modeling Film from Wendy Vecchi for awhile now… and the best coloring agent to use with it is Ranger Alcohol inks! So here is what I came up with!
I wanted to create a subtle background for the flower so I used the Dylusions Dotted Flowers Stencil with Translucent embossing paste. It just adds a little shine.
Take a real close look at the leafy greens on the very back of the flower… I used the Be Creative Tape sheet with the modeling film so I could use Rock Candy Distress Glitter. This flower would be fantastic as a pin for a scarf, just add a pin back!
I’ve also created a video of the entire process. I’ve had to speed it up to fit everything in, so relax and enjoy.
Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll see you next week!
Beautiful colours; a stunning card!
Like all the dimension with the different flowers. that molding film looks like it is a thin shrink plastic. interesting. I will have to look for it in stores. thanks for sharing.
Oh, WOW! I LOVE that card. Can’t wait to watch the video tonight.
WOWZERS! you outdid yourself this time! This is over the moon GORGEOUS!
Wow, just gorgeous!
Awesome Bloom !! The card is stunner !!
This is beautiful. Love it.
Beautiful! Love the layers and those colors.
What a great video! I loved this technique and will certainly be including this with my next order. Thanks so much!
I watched the video, and I thought this was such a cool way to add to your flowers. I love how colorful and bright it is. I have got to try this very very soon lol.
For Christmas I made the tattered poinsettia with archival inks. I like the look of alcohol ink better! Can’t wait to try it!
This is SO BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for sharing the process~
Beautiful flower and a very clear tutorial! Thanks Shari!
Simply gorgeous. I’m going to try this by making the flowers from the plastic packaging leftover from Christmas gifts. Thanks (again!) for the inspiration.
Your flower is just spectacular. Would love to have one as a pin. Great job!! I’m in awe! Thanks for sharing with us!
Gorgeous card! Stunning technique!
What a gorgeous creation! So fun that you can shape the film with some heat.
Sure would have been helpful to have some narration on the video or at least words printed on the screen like many craft video makers do. Even after reading the supply list don’t know that I could recreate this. I’ve worked with alcohol inks, but some of the other products used are new to me.
I don’t incorporate a lot of flowers on my projects, but this is GORGEOUS!!! Another great idea, Shari. Thanks!
Thank you bunches, I love this look but did not know how to do it. I saw the flowers done just once before but they were not sharing the “how to do”. I’m assuming you used the E600 adhesive to put the flower together . . .we didn’t see that in the video. I wondered if Glossy Accents would work. Very beautiful work!
I am just loving this card. Thanks for very much for sharing your techniques, it’s absolutely brilliant!
*Gulp!!! Incredible, Shari – so beautiful :)
Your flowers are awesome!
That’s such a beautiful card and the technique was fabulous!
