Rainbow Hello

hello2

Hi readers! Happy Sunday to you! I hope you’re taking some time to enjoy your weekend.  I’m pleased to bring you this gorgeous and brightly colored card made by the fabulous Lucy Abrams!

Enjoy!

hello

Stamp the Chevron Pattern in Versamark ink on watercolor card stock, then emboss with white embossing powder. Use Distress Markers as watercolors to paint the chevrons by scribbling the markers into a palette then adding a little water. After the first paint application, wipe over the whole thing with a baby wipe to soften the colors and remove pain from the white embossed areas. Then add more paint to highlight certain parts of the design. Die cut the ‘Hello’ from watercolor card stock then press Charcoal ink directly onto it, then add Rock Candy Distress Stickles and allow it to dry. Adhere the die cut to the card with foam adhesive.

  2. I love the technique that was used to really make the “hello” word stand out on the card. A little bit of rock candy can always add that extra touch.

  3. Love the look of this card!! Will definitely have to try the charcoal ink and distress sticklers combination!!

  4. Awesome Idea, goes onto my to do list for the weekend activity schedule.

  5. I love rainbow cards and did something similar for the last online card class. Love how Lucy went back to add a little more colour to certain spots and her sentiment looks really cool. Must try that myself…
