Pretty Paper Smooches Petals
Hi readers! Thanks for stopping by today! Please join me in extending a BIG Simon welcome to the very talented Kay Miller to our blog! She made this bright and cheery card featuring some older and NEW Paper Smooches dies exclusively to showcase on our blog today! Isn’t it a blended beauty? Read on for more details on how you can grab the look for yourself!
Enjoy!
I started with a piece of Neenah Solar white 110lb card stock cut to 4 x 5 1/4, and placed a piece of painter’s tape across it about half way up to create a mask for my sponging. I used Simon Says Maliblue dye ink to sponge half way up my card stock, going a little lighter at the top to create a bit of an ombre effect. I then cut out the little clouds using the Cute Clouds die from Paper Smooches, sponged a little bit of the Maliblue dye ink along the bottom of those and glued them onto the top portion of my card.
I used the Stitched Dies from Paper Smooches to emboss the stitched lines in my green hill at the bottom. I embossed it three times and then cut along the top stitching. I adhered this to my card stock panel with foam tape. Next I cut out three flowers using the Dainty Flowers dies from Paper Smooches. I punched out the flower petal and leaf pieces , then sponged color on them and inlaid the sponged pieces back into the white ones. I added foam tape on the back of these to hold the pieces in place and also to adhere them to the card stock panel.
After the flowers were in place, I cut out two of the Hello sentiment from the Hello Words die from Paper Smooches, glued these together, then glued that down to the left corner of the card panel. I added a few 4mm Lime Sorbet sequins along the bottom of my flowers, and then adhered the whole panel to a top folded A2 size card.
