Hi, there friends! It’s Nina-Marie here with you today, sharing a mixed media project using Honey Bee Stamps products.

I thought it would be fun to take the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Bugs die set and create a mug scene featuring some bees suspended amongst a garden of flowers.

The bees were colored with Karin Markers and I created their wings from Holographic cardstock.

The little “bee hive” in the scene was created by wrapping twine around a small glue bottle lid. Using recycled items as a base for certain pieces is a great way to help cut down on trash!

I particularly loved how the flowers turned out; I cut them from the Lovely Layers Tulip set from Honey Bee and used Simon’s Pawsitively Saturated Inks to color them.
If you want to learn exactly how I made this project, be sure to watch the video below!

Oh wow this is so cool
How amazing. I love how your mind can see things differently, such as a bottle cap being a bee hive. Wonderful. Thank you.
