Mixed Media Artist: Jenny Grant

Hi readers! Happy Sunday!  We decided to do a unique post for us today where we showcase a mixed media artist. Today we’re featuring Jenny Grant, who I found in a particularly enthralling Pinterest search in mixed media.  Such artistry and uniqueness! Be sure to check out Jenny’s page for more info on these items pictured below!

Jenny was inspired to make the above pieces by the poem below so I thought you may like to have a read. Food for thought!

Spacious

Dear you,
you who always have so many things to do
so many places to be
your mind spinning like fan blades at high speed
each moment always a blur
because you’re never still

I know you’re tired
I also know it’s not your fault
The constant brain-buzz is like
a swarm of bees threatening
to sting if you close your eyes
You’ve forgotten something again
You need to prepare for that or else
You should have done that differently

What if you closed your eyes?
Would the world fall apart without you?
Or would your mind become the open sky
flock of thoughts
flying across the sunrise
as you just watched and smiled

  1. I thought the first one reminded me of a angel! The artist done a great job but I quite not into this type of crafting yet. Now if u ask me if my nerves in my body feel like that I would say half yes and half no. All my small nerves are really dead per a doctors consult, examination and test. Keep on keeping on because all the lovely ladies love your work. Have a Happy Day!

  2. How inspiring! Both the art and the poem. Both great reminders to slow down and enjoy what each day has to offer.

  3. I love today’s altered art page. It is gorgeous, and I love the poem that was shared. I cannot draw faces, but I wish I could.

  4. Have just recently been inspired to try some mixed media canvases myself!! These are gorgeous works of art and he poem is so inspirational and food for thought. Sometimes we get lost in being so busy that we forget to actually live life!!! TFS!!!
