Love is All Around!
Hi readers! Can I get a T-G-I-F? I hope you’re having a fabulous week and have some fun plans this weekend with your favorite people! Today I’m happy to share a dimensional card by Art Impressions designer Cheri Burry! Will you please join me in welcoming her as a guest to our blog and give her a comment on this post?
You may or may not have seen these brand new Spinners card designs by Art Impressions, but if you haven’t be sure to check them out! They give you a front and back stamp view so you can SPIN and have a three dimensional effect!
How cool is that? Enjoy!
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and love is in the air. Art Impressions Stamps have come out with a new product called “spinners“! Once I got my hands on this stamp I knew I had to make an easel card to showcase the “spinning”.
- This is how the card looks when folded flat. The idea is to wind the image a few times before you put it an envelope so when you open it up the image spins.
- The “Love Spinner” set comes with a sentiment and front and back views of the image. Once you color the image, fussy cut it out. I made an easel card that when folded flat is 6 x 6. The layered heart border is raised a bit with tiny foam squares and helps to keep the easel propped up. After I decorated the front and inside of my card, I used my dies and cut out a frame in the middle of the card front. I then made a “frame” from 2 sizes of Spellbinder Labels 28 dies and ran it through my Big Shot machine.
- I took a piece of white thread and laid it down the center of my image, and glued the front and back images together while pulling the string tight. Now do the same thing to glue the frame and image on the string together.
- Now you are all set to attach the frame and spinner to the card and embellish it. Before I stamped my sentiments and die cut them out, I stamped a background using Memento Angel Pink ink and the Kaiser texture stamp called Cherish! I love these new Art Impressions Spinners sets. They super cute and versatile. I had so much fun creating this card to share with you all here at Simon Says Stamp! Thanks for sharing your time with me.

Wish my sweetie was still here so I could get a hug
I love spinner cards and these stamp sets are so adorable and will make creating cards so easy. I love the paper used on the front…at first it looked like bricks but on closer inspection it is words. So clever. And the raised hearts to hold the front of the card up so the spinner is suspended is a great idea. What a special card. GREAT job! TFS
