Last Minute Christmas Card Ideas!

Hi friends! Please join me in welcoming special guest Cheiron Brandon for some fun last minute batch Christmas card ideas! You can give these ideas a try with any open stamps where there are open lines for you to color in parts and you could add any sentiment you like!

Hi there crafty friends! I don’t know about you, but every year I have best intentions for making all my holiday cards in advance so they are ready to send in December. I thought I made a ton of cards this year, but I always think of a few more people that I want to send cards to. I wanted to make something vintage looking, and sparkly…and not take a ton of time. The best way for me to do this is pick a simple design and add a special touch to it.

There are only a few supplies you will need to make this set of sparkly cards and you can make a batch of them in a short amount of time. I used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Winterscape and Christmastime 3 sets to make 8 cards with a vintage look. (Editor’s Note: Unfortunately the stamps used are currently out of stock but the technique would work with any open stamps like this Santa where there are open lines for you to color in parts and you could add any sentiment you like.) The easiest way to do this is to do each step of the process to all the panels.

To begin, I lined up the snowman stamp and sentiment in my stamp platform and stamped 8 3 3/4 X 5 panels of Lawn Fawn Eggshell cardstock using Black Soot Distress Archival Ink. Then I ran an Anti-Static pouch over the panels and used the Distress Embossing Pen to cover highlights of the snowman (broom, cap, scarf, mittens) and stamped the Snowflakes from Christmastime 3 in Versamark ink. I added the Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder and heat embossed all the panels.

To make the panels look even more vintage, I inked each panel with Black Soot Distress Ink and gave each one a fine quick mist with DIstress Mica Spray in Tarnished Brass. Then, I added each panel to a black A2 card. These cards took me less than an hour, but if you wanted to make even more, you could do a step or two each day to make it easier. Wishing you all a very Happy Holiday Season.
