Lawn Fawn Slimline & Car Critters for Father’s Day!
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! I’m SUPER jazzed to share this awesome card by Tammy Stark today using NEW Lawn Fawn stamps and dies from their mini release revealed just last week! Read on for more information and enjoy!
Hi friends! Tammy here, sharing this fun Father’s Day slimline card, featuring Lawn Fawn’s Car Critters and Slimline Dies from the brand new mini release.
To begin, I cut a large white stitched rectangle, using the Large Slimline with Sliders Die Cuts. Next, using the Small Slimline Lift the Flaps Die Cuts, I cut two rectangles from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I created a fun starry night background by die cutting my panel with the Snowy Backdrop and ink blending it with Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks.
Next, I created the hills by die cutting the other slimline rectangle with the various dies from the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders Die Cuts and ink blended with the following Distress Oxide inks:
- Grassy Hill: Shabby Shutters and Bundled Sage
- Water: Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass
- Sandy Hill: Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs
I cut the mountains from Paper Bag Cardstock using the Stitched Mountain Border Lawn Cuts and adhered to my inked background. I then layered the grassy hill, the water, and the sandy hill to my background. Using the Road Border, I cut a piece of Black Licorice cardstock, layered over white cardstock, and tucked it under the water.
Next, I stamped the images onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Lawn Fawn Jet Premium Ink, colored with Copic markers, and die cut using these sets:
- Car Critters/ Coordinating Dies
- Winter Skies (trees)/ Coordinating Dies
- Beary Happy Holidays (fishing pole and fish)/ Coordinating Dies
- Village Heroes (clouds)/ Coordinating Dies
To complete my card, I stamped the sentiment from Car Critters on the bottom of the sandy hill with black ink. The DAD sentiment was made by cutting Ground Coffee cardstock with Oliver’s Stitched ABC’s. I adhered above my stamped sentiment and attached my other images to my card, using foam tape on the car for dimension. to finish, I attached my completed panel to a 3.5 X 8.5 inch white card base.
Thanks so much for joining me today! I can’t wait to see what you all create with Lawn Fawn’s new mini release!! XO, Tammy

This is so fun – what a great scene
I just love this scene and the pun! I also really like the slim line card! I can’t wait for my order from SSS to come as it has several slimline dies in them. But with COVID-19 I need to be patient! I should be glad that SSS is even shipping!
What a delightful design for Fathers Day…or just about any day! tfs-stay well.
Great card Tammy!
It’s Father’s Day in Australia this weekend and I’ve got my Car Critters stamps/dies ready to go. I’m using your card as a rough template but making a few changes to suit our family and can’t wait to see how it turns out. Thanks for the great, clear instructions.
You will have a profile material that is very difficult to find anywhere to be honest and then I can tell anyone who is now looking for methods and ways to fix a car without difficulty or problems, e.g. the same stick shaft. I recall only as I was looking for, and I could say that you definitely should think about reading an excellent article about https://avtotachki.com/en/kryshka-rasshiritelnogo-bachka-kak-ustroena-zachem-nuzhna-i-kak-proverit/ I highly recommend to read it, because before something broke down the street I always had problems with my telephone calling. I had to pay a lot of money. And now I know what to do and how to do it. So be sure to take a look and read it, I hope that it will be useful and you will also be able to read it properly, it’s very cool. I already know how to fix it and so on. So I hope I was able to help.
Incredible card Tammy, I’m certain this welcomes a major grin on each father’s face. Much thanks for sharing your motivation, remain safe. Have a great day.
THE INFORMATIONS ARE VERY HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE.
I think using we should make sure to shake the filter in order to get rid of any excess water. After that, turn your hand, upside-down, to let the water drip dry. It can be long, but it’s important.
