Blog Candy Alert!! Follow our blog via email and comment on this post for a chance to win special blog candy!

  1. This is fabulous, Jess! I love interactive cards and look forward to learning lots of new techniques from you!

  2. This is fabulous, Jess!! Congratulations on this new monthly series – I love it!! Your card is just fantastic and I love how you made the images viewable from both sides.

I think I’m going to have to watch the video a few more times to make sure I fully understood all of the steps but it was so fun to watch you make this card. Thanks for explaining how to diecut the mirror images. So clever. I guess one could use their light box, if they have one, to line up the image as well.

One suggestion for future videos – would it be possible to slow it down slightly or show some of the stuff that you did offscreen, especially as you are demonstrating techniques? I know it may make the video a little longer, but I think most people would be ok with it since we are all here for the techniques and would enjoy learning more about the technique (or seeing more of it in action rather than offscreen). May help some of the newbies (or longtime crafters who are gaining new skills). Thanks!! I can’t wait to see your next video!

  3. I think I have to invest is this pop up box die. I have been wanting to make these for awhile now and how else would I be able to, right?! lol Yours is just so cute and it’s a shaker, too! My favorite.

  4. Great video, Jess, and super cute card! Thanks for the tips on mirror stamping – I have never been able to get that to work well, so I can’t wait to try it again.

  5. I follow your blog, as I just love love your cards and style! My favourite type of cards are interactive cards. So to say I am super super excited about this new monthly blog post is to put it mildly!!! Happy, Happy, Happy!

  6. Wow!!! What awesome new series!!! Jessica, your card is totally cute and funny!!! You’re great!!!

  7. That is an adorable card! I love the addition of the shaker window as well as the mirror stamping – both fabulous ideas.

  8. Hi Jess and welcome. Thanks so much – I’m too terrified to try to make these pop-up box cards, but they are fabulous and yours was so adorable. I’m with Christy (was that her name) I NEED to see all the processes please. I don’t care if the tutorial is longer, and the more experienced ones can fast forward through the parts they don’t need. Looking forward to the next one. Going back to watch this a second time. Thanks so much for sharing.

  9. Okay…this is ADORABLE!!! Love the scene you created in this popup box! Such a darling creations…Love it ♥

  10. Your project is beautiful ! I love the idea of seeing it from both side. Thank you for sharing.

There is something that bothers me in your video : you’ve stamped the bubbles right in the middle of what looked a brand new sheet of vellum. I find is a waste of material and I couldn’t afford to loose a complete sheet of vellum just for two little images.

    1. Thanks for the comment Isabelle! I actually did that intentionally because I needed a sheet of vellum to cut for a frame for another card so I didn’t want to waste what would become the inside of a stitched frame for a different card (hidden underneath the card panel) so this way I got to use the middle and save the edge for the frame later! I do my best to try to get the most use out of everything! ?

  11. I bought LF’s Scalloped Box Pop Up to make this year’s Christmas cards! I need to get it out and use it now!

  12. Jess. JESS. I am in awe. Could not be prouder of you, my friend. That card is absolutely darling, and you have made me want that box die!! I’d say your first interactive video is a resounding success…. not that I would expect any less from you. Beautifully done.

  13. Wow fabulous creation Jess, just love interactive cards ♥️ looking forward to your next work of art! Have a Blessed Day,?

  14. OH MY.. I really love this box card!!! I think I am going ro have to make this one for my niece when she has her baby shower in June!!! Thanks for the inspiration. There is just a few more elements I am going to add to it!

  15. LOVE this super adorable interactive card! Brilliant idea to have the pop up also have a shaker component! Thanks for another awesome video and congrats on your new monthly series here.

  16. Boy is this going to be a great series. Loved this first video and your card is too adorable. I follow your blog and always enjoy your videos. Congrats and I look so forward to this series. Nicely done…

  17. Jess! What a beautiful and cheerful card that any new mama-to-be would be delighted to receive! I love it and I’m so happy for your new series.

  18. I adore these box cards! What a great idea to add the shaker to it. Love your new series! Looking forward to all your technique secrets!

  19. Wow! A box pop-up card is cool enough, but then you take it to the next level by adding the shaker and mirror stamping the images! Amazing! Love interactive cards! Can’t wait to see your next card.

  20. This debut of interactive cards is a real winner. Jess has succinctly explained each step of construction meticulously. And the results speak for itself…just the sweetest and clevers pop-up card I’ve seen and it even has a shaker. Great job, Jess.
