I Love Donuts Party Picks
Hi readers! Happy Tuesday to you! Need a sweet DIY idea to give your Valentine in the morning? Try these fun food picks to make breakfast even more fun! Read on to discover this quick and easy fun crafting idea!
Hello, Simon Says Stamp readers! My name is Ursula from kraft&mint blog, and I’m very excited to share a project with you for Valentine’s day.
Simon Says Stamp has a clear stamp set featuring a beautiful donut theme, which inspired me to create party picks for Valentine’s day. The picks are fairly easy to make, using paper, scissors, washi tape and minimal sewing skills. Please take a look below for a quick tutorial and material’s list.
-
You will need one sheet of light pink cardstock and two pigment inks. Start stamping the donuts and experiment with various colors. I used a red and teal.
-
Cut each doughnut and set them aside. Choose a few sequins and then with grey thread sew each sequin trying to follow the “pattern” of the stamped sprinkles.
-
For the sticks, you’ll need white lollipop sticks and watercolor mint washi tape. Cut and wrap the Washi tape in a vertical format, so you will place the stick on top of a long strip of tape and then wrap it around each stick.
-
Finally, cut more donut circles and “sandwich” the lollipop stick in between two donuts. Voila, you have donut party picks!
The doughnuts party picks will make any treat extra special for Valentine’s day. You could use them on cupcakes, but I think doughnuts are too adorable to pass.
I wish I could tell you I baked all of these delicious looking doughnuts, but I purchased them at Krispy Kreme. Happy crafting! Thank you, Simon Says Stamp for hosting me today!
