HUGE Birthday Wishes!

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be on the SSS blog today with a birthday card to share with you all!
The elephants from the new Elephant Parade set are just the cutest, so I used those images to create a birthday scene. I started by stamping all of the images onto white cardstock, coloring them with Copic markers, and die cutting them with the coordinating die cuts. The Elephant Parade Add-on set has a few images to add to the birthday scene, including the balloons and the sitting elephant.
After getting all of the images ready for the card, I started to create the background. I used Mermaid cardstock for the sky and ink blended clouds with the Cloud Background Stencils and Merman ink. I ink blended along the edge of the cardstock and added accents on the clouds with a white gel pen. The grass was created with Cilantro cardstock and the Grassy Hillside die. I like the clean look of stitching around the edge of my cards, so I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables die on the sky and grass before attaching them to the card base with double sided tape.
Before adding the images to the card, I stamped the sentiment along the bottom of the card with the Henry Jr.’s ABCs stamp set. Then, I arranged the images onto the card and attached everything with double sided foam tape. To finish the card, I stamped a few small hearts around the scene in Wild Rose ink.
