Hope Your Day is Super Duper

Hi readers! I’m always happy to welcome back guest designer (and pal of Simon :)),  Teri Anderson! Today she’s made a seriously fun & brightly colored card that I hope you enjoy as much as I do. Pssst: she used Copic Markers to color (SALE alert: use code HUE at checkout for 20% all Copic Products– going on now!!).

Enjoy!

I love steel dies. I am sure a lot of you can relate. I mean, seriously. Take a die. Grab a little paper. Run it through your die-cutting machine. Oh yeah! Instant gratification.
But I’m always looking for ways to get a little extra bang for the buck with them.
A fun way to use nested style dies (like the Circles from Technique Tuesday) is to pair them up with markers.
Check out this card.

See the circle background.
Get this. I made it by setting some of my circle dies on cardstock and then simply scribbling in a little color with markers. It was so easy! The process looked like this.

The trick when you try this technique is to make sure you hold the die down firmly as apply color. But don’t worry if you don’t. You’ll just end up with a card that’s a little more on the artsy side not-so-crisp colored edges.
By the way, I used this same market technique to make this card here.

Instead of using a bunch of different circle dies, I used the same sized die and just moved around the piece of paper.
