Enjoy!

Hi! I’m thrilled to be guesting and sharing some Paper Smooches today! I love how Kim at Paper Smooches designs products so you can use old and new stamps and dies.  I mixed some holiday products from last year and this year to create a cheerful holiday card:

Holly Christmas J. Olson 1

I started by creating the pine branches. I die-cut the Paper Smooches Wreath Builder die out of October Afternoon Under the Tree paper. Next, I painted the edges of the branches with Gold Modeling Cream. The texture and gold shimmer on the branches is a lovely detail!

Next, I die-cut the larger Paper Smooches Mason Jar die out of watercolor paper and silver glitter cardstock. I lightly watercolored the jar and stamped a sentiment from the Holly Jolly set. I finished the jar with a few dots of Stickles and Lawn Fawn twine.

I couldn’t resist adding the adorable Cool Dudes snowman! I colored him with Copic markers and die cut him with the Cool Dudes Icons die. To finish the card, I cut a panel of the Under the Tree paper.

  1. CUTENESS GALORE :)
LOVE the ADORABLE snowman and PRETTY jar FILLED with SPARKLING Christmas wishes!!!
THANK YOU for sharing with us Jocelyn!!!

  2. Jocelyn’s card is so JOYFUL!!! The snowman is sooo ADORABLE and the jar looks awesome with the silver glittered paper and the details of the twine and the pine branches! I also LOVE the stickles dots! Thank you for the great tutorial and the joyful spirit! <3 <3 <3

  3. You just inspired me to make a shaker card with the jar and inside put a baked clay carrot and two black beads. I’ll label the jar, Instant Snowman – just add snow. What a fun card that is also an ornament. Thank you!

  4. You added some incredible touches. I like the touch of silver on the jar with the twine and twigs. You really took the look to another level. It’s adorable.

  5. Oh my, too cute! I had actually been staring at a mason jar stamp this weekend, wondering if and how I could use it for a holiday card, but I couldn’t think of anything (yet) and I don’t think I would ever have come up with something as awesome and adorable as Jocelyn. Thanks for the inspiration!
