Hero Arts Anniversary Blog Hop – Day 3
Welcome to Day 3 of the Hero Arts 45th Anniversary Blog Hop!!! I’m honored to be a part of this hop and so proud of Hero Arts for their accomplishments!
I’m taking it back old school to shadow stamps and real flowers. Hero Arts released several “From the Vault” images for their anniversary. Theses stamps were some of my favorites to work with.
I stamped this first card using Smoke Ink with the Aged Shadow Stamp and also used the Hero Arts Dandelion die for my focal point. I’ve kept it clean and simple. This is such a quick card to make!
This next card features a technique I developed when I was with Hero Arts called Stamp Layering. I used the “From the Vault” Real Poppy with Butter Bar and Soft Yellow ink on the blossom portion and Field Greens for the stem.
The technique is simple, stamp with the darker inks first and without cleaning the stamp, ink it up with the lighter colors and stamp once more. The residual color from the darker inks stay on the rubber and will mix with the lighter ink giving you fresh new color tone between the two.
There are amazing prizes offered by some fabulous sponsors!! Leave a comment by Sunday, June 2 at 11:59pm PST on all 3 days of the hop for a better chance to win! Winners will be announced on the Hero Arts blog next week.
Ready to hop along? Your next stop is to the amazing Tasnim Ahmed!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic crafty weekend!!!
