Glitter + Stencil Technique

Steph4

Hi there! Happy Monday, everyone!  I’m really excited to share this amazing new technique Jennifer McGuire tried using stencils and glitter.  I think the outcome is absolutely stunning and could be so versatile based on the stencil you used! This Ocean Spray glitter color that Jennifer uses in the cards is one of my favorites!

Be sure to watch Jennifer’s entire video below to grasp the full technique, and enjoy!

  1. I saw this glitter and grabbed some at the last stamp convention I went to, but of course, I haven’t played with it yet. I will DEFINITELY have to do that now!

  2. Beautiful cards. Love the second card. Clean and simple lines. The glittered heart really pops. Haven’t tried stencils yet – that’s on my “to-do” list.

  3. This is such a cool technique. I’m not usually a glitter user, but I really like this look. I’m going to have to try it, I suspect!

  4. Great techniques! Thanks so much for sharing them with us…I love your video’s and have learned soooooo much!

  5. I just love this technique. I have so many stencils I want to try this with. Thanks Jennifer for the great instructions and inspiration.

  6. It’s amazing how creative is Jennifer. She creates things that I could never imagine that would be possible. I love everything she does I always learn something new!!!

  7. I saw this on You tube with Jennifer – how brilliant and simple too! (I’ve only seen this using soap, not embossing ink)

  8. Just thought – wonder what this would be like with a layer of glossy accents over it? Must try…

  9. A time-saving tip, if you like: when stacking die cuts for dimension (as when you did the text), use your Xyron to glue two pieces of cardstock together first – then run it through the machine. That way, you’ll need to make only three passes instead of six, and the gluing will also be much easier and faster. I do this for all of my delicate cuts when I know I’m going to stack them for added dimension. Loved the video, and am always enchanted with that wonderful Glitter Ritz!

  10. Really love all these techniques and they are so EASY!!! Thanks so much for sharing such great ideas to add to my “creativity arsenal”!!!

  11. great technique :) sadly i’m not really a glitter type, but i think this would work great with colored sand too :)

  12. Drop dead gorgeous card and making two out of one background is just frosting on the cake. Thanks for sharing the technique,
