Flight: Art Journal Page

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!!

I’ve got an art journal page for you. I had a happy accident on this one (my tape stuck to my Eiffel Tower) and  tried out a couple new techniques. I went with a little more Shabby Chic style with this which is one of my favorite looks.

I started out using Dina Wakley Turquoise paint… and then the layering began!

I added Texture paste and layered more paints on top till I had the look I wanted.

I cut out the Leaf Cluster Die from Sticky Back Canvas, then colored with Distress Paints. The texture on this page makes me happy!

I’ve shot a full process video, and had to speed it up quite a bit to fit in the time allowed. I have all the supplies listed below if you have any questions.

I’ve got a Blog Candy Alert!! Follow our blog via email and comment on this post for a chance to win a special blog candy!

Thanks for coming by today, hope you’re having a great week-end!

  1. A very awesome project! I love all the layering of colors and textures that you did on this. Thanks for showing us your creative process.

  2. I love your art journaling videos because I love to do art journaling as well. I am always learning new techniques from you and I really appreciate it.

  3. That is gorgeous! I think I would like to try my hand at more mixed media. I think it must take a lot of practice, because mine never looks like yours does!

  4. Lovely, but I couldn’t hide it away in an art journal! Would have to display on a wall, or send to a friend as a ‘card’!
