Find Comfort: Art Journal Page
Happy Saturday everyone! It’s Shari here bringing you an Art Journal inspiration.
Do you ever stumble with a starting point for your backgrounds on your pages? I do sometimes, there are many techniques to try, so many paints and products to use that my mind spins out of control. I dialed things back a bit for todays page and used some pattern paper for my inspiration.
I have to say, I think this is one of my favorites so far.
I love the warmth of the colors especially for this time of year…and of course the Bird and the Branches!

I just love everything about this… the layering & textures, & the little words inside the hearts on the branches!
The placement of those hearts are so perfect. . Beautiful volors you have played with
Oooohh, what an inspiring page! I love that bird and all the elements on this item. Also, great background work with the matte medium gel and clear gesso.

At first i thought, don’t cover up that beautiful background , but i loved the colors and textures you added before the black words (too stark for me). Thanks for the tip on clear gesso.
I really, absolutely, positively, definitely love this! The video is perfect … you don’t make the viewer “watch the paint dry” by speeding it up! Love it!

This is so beautiful! I love the colors, and I love the format you have chosen for this, it seems very doable to me. I think I might give this a try when I’m done with my holiday crafting! I hope you continue this series next year. =)
