Easy Alcohol Ink Cards with Channin Pelletier

Hi friends! Happy Wednesday and please join me in a warm welcome back to special guest Channin Pelletier showing us a beautiful and colorful representation of new Waffle Flower Crafts products! Be sure to watch the video and enjoy!

Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with Waffle Flower Crafts and I am just so excited to be here at Simon Says Stamp sharing a card video featuring some new products from Waffle Flower Crafts’ January release.

In today’s video, I will create an easy alcohol ink card that brings a huge wow factor by simply combining an alcohol inked background with the Tile Panel Die and an easy inlaid die-cutting technique.

First, I created a colorful alcohol ink background on Yupo paper. While I waited to for the background to dry thoroughly I created my sentiment with the Magnolia Combo Set. I stamped the sentiment from the Magnolia Stamp Set in Versamark Ink onto white cardstock and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. After the sentiment was heat set, I die cut it out using the matching dies.

Next, I die cut my alcohol inked background with the Tile Panel Die. Once die cut, I carefully removed all the triangle negative pieces, making sure not to lose any. Next, I trimmed some scrap cardstock down to 5.25” x 4” and then glued the tile panel down with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue. I then glued the negative triangle pieces into the frame, taking care to place the negative pieces in places where they would create lots of contrast.

Once I had all the negative pieces glued down, I adhered the panel onto an A2 top-folding card base made from white cardstock and added the sentiment with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my card and video! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. I really like how inlaying the triangles with contrasting colors makes it look like there’s multiple layers to this card. The colors also remind me of rainbow foil, which can only be a good thing. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Love how bright and cheerful this card is, especially as we’re in the midst of winter now and need some cheer. Also like how easy the overall card design seems to be. Anyone could do this, even me!

  3. Love how you used alcohol inks and this die to their maximum potential! I’ve been playing with alcohol inks and various dies since I saw this post earlier today. So inspiring!

  4. What a great, vibrant, colourful card Channin. Love it! Thanks for demonstrating the alcohol ink background and the new products as well. I really enjoyed watching you create this card. TFS.
