DIY: Upcycling Wrapping Paper

MERRY CHRISTMAS crafty friends!! For those that celebrate, all of us at Simon Says Stamp hope you have a very blessed and happy holiday today!

For the past few years, we’ve been giving you ideas to upcycle your holiday wrapping paper. Today, I have some inspiration to keep the kids busy during their break by making simply folded paper tree ornaments.

These ornaments can be stored flat to enjoy year after year. They are made by cutting a stack of wrapping paper (I cut 7 at a time) with a 5 1/2″ circle die.

The cut circles are folded in half, then folded in an accordion manner to create the shape of the tree. The paper is so thin that it’s really easy to get crisp creases.

Punch a hole in the top for the string and have the kids adorn their trees with gems, sequins, or buttons!
