DIY Floral Masterpiece with our NEW Flower Block Stamp Set for Stunning Cards: Yippee for Yana
Hi friends! Please join me in welcoming back the oh-so-talented and amazing Yana Smakula! (Please note: our dear friend Yana is Ukrainian. To show support to our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, please see Yana’s post HERE.)
Hello, crafters, this is Yana Smakula for Simon Says Stamp! Welcome back for another Yippee For Yana video!
I’m creating cards with the Flower Block stamp set in this video. This set is genius. We all have floral stamp sets in our stash, but probably none that allow us to create a colorful background all while creating beautiful flowers. This stamp set does. Yes, this set makes a small colorful block, it can be the focal point, but it doesn’t cover the full background. To cover the full card background (A2 card that is) one would need to stamp it about 6 times.
I used my mini MISTI stamping tool and stamped several using various ink colors: Honey, Clay, and Brick:
Watermelon, Charcoal, and Honey:
And Carnation, Latte and Citrine:
You have options within each of these color combinations. Instead of using Honey to stamp the background as I did on my first card, I could have used Brick for a dramatic red background.
It is such a fun stamp set, you can use it to create so many different looks! I used the coordinating die to cut the layered block out. The coordinating die set also includes 3 dies to cut the sentiments out. But these aren’t your usual skinny strip sentiment dies. These have rounded corners adding so much awesome to a simple sentiment! Why haven’t we done this look before?
I also used a stencil, Lattice Tile, to create a dry embossed background for my cards. I used Sea Glass, Fog, and Kraft papers to add color to the background. And lastly, I embellished my beauties with the Splash Drops from Simon! Have fun stamping!
